Not months, several years. At least 2 or 3 years for stage 1 approval, although this might look more like 3+ years at this point.
Thanks ! i'm shocked ! so if i apply tvrp for h& grounds i might have a response in years?

Yes, there are many people here who applied in 2023 with no decision yet.

Unless you qualify under experiencing family violence in Canada, then they expedite to get you out of that situation.

The initial approval 2-3 years (Approval in Principle), and 1-2 years for the actual final decision and PR card after that.

Thank you. I'm shocked. I'm abroad willing to apply for a tvrp throug H&C and what i read from you is that precise procedure will cost me 2-3 years for the waiting period without knowing what to do if i come back or stay abroad. Let me take a glass of cold water, very shocking.

What exactly is tvrp?
I think current wait time for H&C may be longer than refugee since there are many applications under H&C.

Oh i'm sorry i meant PRTD. What you write is tremendously important so please let's confirm because i prefer to renounce to my PR status and then re apply to EE than waiting years for a possible rejection. Thanks again.

I don’t think you’re allowed to apply for H&C from abroad. Establishment in Canada is a significant factor for the application.

Do you have a long history of living in Canada and just abroad for a short trip right now?

You are posting in the wrong section! No wonder you are shock.

PRTD under H&C is a totally different topic and timeline.

This discussion is under Refugees and Asylum and people are talking about applying for PR under H&C.

In this forum i was told that it is possible and i went to the website, i also believe it's legal. i went for one year only and failed to the 730 days.

He/she is confused with the discussion. SuperMarco is already a PR and has been living outside of Canada and not meeting RO.
So the question is about timeline for PRTD under H&C. NOT the H&C for PR.

H&C for PR is not allowed outside of Canada.

And PRTD is only for PR to apply outside Canada. Totally 2 different topics.

So if i understand, although not surprised, H&C application take several months...
Years. Not only that, if someone applied withou
Unfortunately received refusal for H&C application from Niagara Office on my mom's application (Submitted: Sep 2023), we are planning to order the notes to understand the grounds of refusal. She is on visitor visa rn. What are some of the other options to consider? Get Super visa, Appeal existing application or resubmit another application? Thanks (No trolls or hate comments please)
Curious to know when she arrived initially in Canada and under what type of status, and why exactly she is here?
