Hi guys, I have my US visa interview next week and wondering what questions were asked during the interview.
I have RTD but no PR. Right now I'm focused more on ties in Canada. I have docs for my full-time job, lease, bank statement, and also my school admission for the Fall.
Any tips?

They basically use the information you’ve submitted on your DS-160.
They rarely will want to see your documents. The decision basically has already been made based upon what you’ve submitted.

Don't worry !. I had my interview last month and they didn't ask for a single supporting document. Just what are you going to the US for and how long.

Thank you. My interview was yesterday. no documents asked. it was very straightforward.

and visa was approved? what do they ask in that? and you never had USA visa before?

Visa was approved. Just normal questions on where you are going? If I have any family? And extra questions for me as I had a student visa in the past.

when did you book your appointment, we are looking for an appointment and everything is in 2026 nothing in 2024 or in 2025

July 2023. Kept searching till I got Oct for Vancouver. Then in Feb, the Vancouver consulate sent me an email to select a new date. It's only available if you've been waiting for a while. Keep searching!

I think this is wrong, I heard former visa officer interview and she said they didn’t check application before interview, but during interview they just scanned the ds160 that’s it

I heard that RTD holders get visa rejection without pr, but am not sure that officers are friendly or not for RTD holders. Also if I have family in us officers they will not satisfied

Incredibly dependent on your individual circumstances so an RTD without PR can lead to approval or refusal. Under new government how you got to Canada and whether you came through the US also seems to have a bigger impact.
