So... I requested a paper certificate with my application, and I just noticed was just charged on my credit card for it last week. I'm guessing that is a very positive sign (hopefully). Especially at this stage of the process.
I thought it's already included in the 600+

You applied slightly over two months ago. At this point, you're getting yourself wound up about nothing.
(Preface: My comment is not directed at the other user in this thread specifically — this is a blanket opinion based on what I'm seeing everywhere in this forum.)

It's a little shocking to me how intense people are about needing to have their citizenship apps processed *right away*. We all dealt with IRCC during the PR process. We all know that they'll take as long as they take. It's pointless to clog up agent time by calling or sending webforms if you don't actually need to. If you're within the standard processing time, relax! There's nothing to worry about at this stage. Just chill. It will be better for your sanity and you'll avoid using agent time that other people *actually* need. (Like what is the point of calling to find out your processing office? It truly does not matter in the grand scheme of things.)

Received invitation to citizenship test.

My timeline:
Application submitted: May 14, 2025
AOR: June 12, 2025
Invitation to Citizenship test: 31st July
Test date(s): August 8, 2025

BTW, I didn't receive any email, just logged into the tracking portal, as usual, and saw the update to my application.

Wholeheartedly agree. What I like in these threads is seeing great questions being answered ... and others helping solve problems that someone else has faced. And insights on others journeys that might give me some insight into mine (but I lean into the tracker data there the most).

What gets me the most is this is the second time through this journey with IRCC. We all understand the unique variables of our own applications, and the varied path it takes whilst going through PR. Why do we think it would be any different for citizenship?

Answer to your last question, from my perspective:

The truth is, as humans, we tend to forget the struggles we've already been through. We may have spent 3 to 5 years working toward permanent residency, but once we achieve it, we often forget the challenges and start expecting the next step—like citizenship—to move faster. Eventually, reality sets in: we're still dealing with the same IRCC.

Personally, I’ve been trying to stay patient this time. But when there are no updates for over a month, it's natural to feel a bit anxious. Still, I keep reminding myself that it’s the same IRCC I’m dealing with again—and somehow, that reminder helps me feel a little better. :p

I understand where you're coming from (in it right now with my spouse).

But current estimated processing time is 10 months. Fast applications (call it lucky if you wish) might get through in 4-5 months.

It is too early for applicants from May to stress. There will be periods of a month or more without updates from IRCC, for most applicants at least, although perhaps not all.

Hey, my AOR is June 10. I took the test on July 25 and passed. I checked the portal today, and it still says "waiting on you" and "you were invited to take the test". I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if it just takes so long to update the portal. Does anyone have any idea? I'm sure I passed because I have a confirmation email saying smthn like congratulations, you passed with 17/20.

It can take up to a month for them to clear it. Nothing to worry about.

In-person test with a specific date? I thought tests are online and can be taken any time during a 1-month period.

Apologies for the confusion in my previous post. It’s an online test, and I’ve been given a one month window to take it; from August 8 to September 6. I need to complete the test within this timeframe.

I’ve completely made up my mind and not feeling stressed at all. Surprisingly, I actually have some faith in IRCC—my PR application was processed during the peak of COVID when everything was shut down, yet I still received my medical exam request and passport submission instructions during that peak covid time.
Now, with my citizenship process, I received my AOR within a month, and my background check was completed just 8 days later. So far, everything’s going smoothly again. Based on the tracker, I’m expecting something related to the test around the week of August 17th. Let’s see how it unfolds. :)

I mean to see some movement helps. My PR was done in the later stages of COVID but the IRCC agents where helpful. like they told me medical passed and everything. My AOR took a month but say what you will its kinda of worrying that few folks have not even got a test invite. Again i am not expecting my application to be processed super fast but i hope to see something move. I know there is nothing much we can do but you begin to fear the worst. Some people in this forum have been stuck since 2 years. Don't want to be in that situation
