Just got P2 email for my mom's PGP application, P1 was received and submitted on June 20, 2025.

The reply for P1 email was done on June 19, 2025. Is this the correct email to which the reply need to be sent.
IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. I am waiting for P2 email. Has anyone else got the P2 email? It has been around 1 month 9 days and counting. Can you guys share the timeline how much time P2 email takes?

Hey all, I have submitted PCC, Medical reports and biometrics for my mother in March 2025. I have received the letter from IRCC in March 2025 stating "
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for
Permanent Residence for your relative will be processed"

I have not heard since then when followed up with IRCC, its under review. Now, I am expecting a baby this Dec. Do I need to let IRCC know about this after my baby's birth? Will IRCC re-access my financials again?

You need to inform IRCC after your baby is born.

They may or may not re-access you income again. It's up to IRCC.

yes, the email address looks correct on which to send reply for P1, its essentially the same email address you get your P1 on.
My timelines are similar to yours, i had responded to P1 on 20th June and got P2 today around 11am, i think from what i have read around it can take anywhere from 1month or more than that but hopefully i think you can expect it this week or next but as you know nothing is 100% sure.

It will be great if few others can respond just so as to see the trend. I understand that each case is very different.

@hims0912 , Is the email address in the p1 reply email same as the one which you used to submit your parents PR application last year? In my case the P1 email mentioned to give their email address . I was using my email address since I was the authorized representative since last year. In my reply email, I gave his actual email ID. But, I think that should not matter.

Hi, just received the invitation for 2025. The 2025 forum is not active yet. My parent already have a valid biometric they have already done for their visitor visa. Do they need to get a new biometric for PGP application? Thanks!

Congrats! Please go through the process of submitting the application . Biometrics is at a very later stage.IRCC will guide you through it and advise you if they need it.

Biometrics is needed again as part of the PGP process no matter even if you have submitted it earlier. But its very much late in the game, you should first go ahead and submit

My application status got updated to Final Decision today !
Does that mean no Security Screening and PPR is the next step right ?
It seems getting 2 pre-arrival letters is a good sign, right ?!

Wow! I just discovered the PPR letter in my portal — it looks like the final decision and PPR were issued together! It seems the processing time for PGP is just 1 year or so!

After all these years, my Canada immigration journey that began in 2017 is finally nearing completion! I'm incredibly grateful that everything has gone smoothly throughout the process.

IRCC does not accept new applicants for 2025 parents sponsor. They only draw from 2020 pool.

I’d say they likely won’t accept new applicants until the 2020 pool is cleared, and there’s also a strong possibility the policy could change. According to the current speed, the pool will be emptied in 2 years or so.
