Québec PR Timelines

I have been in this queue since FEB 2024 , and unfortunately, my application has not moved forward. I submitted my CSQ both personally and through my (MP) and has been add in my application on Dec 2024 & registered on ATIP Notes , but there has been no change in status. I have contacted ircc call center through this 42 months many many times, yet nothing has progressed and I have also asked my MP to intervene on my behalf more than 11 times registered also in ATIP , yet no progress has been made.
My application was flagged for exceeding the standard processing time was on Jun 2024, and I received a response from the officer stating that it is currently "in a queue for finalization." This response was also documented in the ATIP notes but after while the processing time had been increased gradually.
Given that my application has been flagged due to the delay, I would like to ask:

1. Does this flagging give me the right or opportunity to request expedited processing?
2. Am I eligible to have my application treated as urgent under the current guidelines?
3. If I move out of Quebec at this stage, will it negatively impact my application? Or should I wait until my application is finalized before relocating?

I would greatly appreciate clarification on these points and any guidance you can provide to help ensure my application continues to move forward without further delay.

You applied in Jan 2022 so your current wait time is 41 months. The average processing times is 45 so ur still 4 months behind I would suggest waiting to get to the normal processing time then contact ircc again

( personal advice just don’t stress and forget about it no reason to waste your health on something you can’t control )

About having urgent processing you need to proof that your life is in danger without PR that’s the only or one of the only reasons that can get you PR faster

If you want to leave Quebec I advice you contact ircc and ask your questions ( if they don’t give you answers call them the next day at a different hour some agents are better than the others )

Tough to say at this point how much impact it will have for you but will have an impact on your dependent. Still long processing just not as long. You will need to cut ties with Quebec and cost of living in higher in Ontario and job market it pretty rough so make sure you have secured a job before leaving your current one.

I don’t understand what’s happening I feel like the processing time is fake for Quebec applicants

I’ve been waiting for 48 months now and everytime I call they say that my file completed what in the world am I waiting for ?

You’re waiting in line for landing like many others. There is a set quota so they can’t land everyone waiting as their file is completed.

If I passed the processing time by months and EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED WHAT AM I WAITING FOR. Processing times are not guarantees. Canada and Quebec’s immigration targets/quotas determine how many people can land a year and they spread out the quota throughout the year or most would land at the beginning of each year. Many benefited from much easier entry to Canada in the past decade but this has lead to huge volumes of refugees and protected people creating large backlogs and increased processing times at the PR stage. I understand the frustration but there is a reason why this is happening and is likely to get worse before it gets better. That is just the reality of the situation. On a positive note you are safe in Canada and will get PR so you are actually quite fortunate. Many would trade places with you.

Processing times aren’t guarantees they are what’s FAIR AS A WAITING TIME. I’m not asking to surpass other and don’t care who came in Canada or how it’s not really my job to control anything. I’m just asking that If it’s my turn I should get what I’m supposed to get or at least an answer.

This doesn’t make me ungrateful for Canada or Quebec nor a bad greedy person on the contrary it’s the right thing to do asking for what we deserve if it’s our turn. Isn’t this what makes Canada a first world nation ? You shouldn’t try to stop from asking for my right cuz "others would trade places with me"
