I am planning to submit my application for citizenship this week. I had received my permanent residence via Ontario Tech draws. I lost my job and had to change my province as the relevant opportunity for my career. I stayed in Ontario for 22 months as a permanent resident. I had emailed Ontario PNP program about my situation, and they said yes not an issue if I find job in another province.

So just wondering should I include a letter of explanation in optional documents of citizenship application. I was thinking 1 page letter explaining why i left Ontario and list all the documents to establish ties with Ontario - Like lease, car registration, driving license, power and gas utility bills, Record of Employment and federal unemployment proof and email from Ontario PNP program that it is okay to leave Ontario. And from start of page 2, all these documents attached. It might be a 50+ page document.

Thanks

No need. You were free to relocate.

Thanks for the response. The reason I asked was as PNP requires you to live in the province for 24 months (its not very clear). I lived long enough, close to 22 months and then left the province, after checking with Ontario so that IRCC is aware.

The reason is I am leaving for US to do my PhD in August 2025 Semester. So don't want to realize in middle they returned application for something simple. But some people also suggested not to give them extra information. So was bit confused.

No need. Don't send extra stuff that is not needed. This has no bearing on your citizenship application.

You are way overthinking. No letter needed.
