i get it and its a tough decision i run out of options though. basically if i go back to usa i am going to be deported and if i go to my country of origin i am literally going to be persecuted.
Your case should have been referred to IRB, did you have an eligibility interview with a border officer? Have you disclosed a prior refused refugee claim?
in Canada i never applied for Asylum . i only applied in the usa during Hilary clintons administration and got rejected . i am in Windsor right now and always go to immigration office to sign in every two weeks meanwhile waiting for my work permit
ny lawyer said yes . i applied during clintons administration i got rejected because she is corrupt i am a known political activist in a dictatorship for many years .
Just please be aware that there is never a guarantee that your case will be approved, no matter how strong it is. There is always some chance of refusal.
It's not for a lawyer but a border officer to make that decision. The lawyer can overpromise you anything. What documents did you get when you left the border? Conditional removal order, BOC?
BTW - There was no Hilary Clinton administration. She was never President. Maybe you mean Obama's administration?
Usa makes business with my mothere country. if i was denied there for pilitical reasons it doesnt mean my case isnt strong.
canada is advertised to be a heaven on earth . but once here i realize too much bureaucracy and endless paperwork . also the shelter i was refered to is full . still waiting on work permit. i am 60 and sleeping in my car i came with though they wouldnt let me work even though i have a driving license.
Ultimately you need to make a decision if you are going to remain in Canada knowing the long processes times for refugee applications and knowing the outcome is uncertain. That's your next step and this is a decision only you can make.
