If you are already a protected person they will not renew it. Because I tried. This was the answer I got.

Has anyone here received eligibility/pre-arrival close to receiving their P1/P2 and not earlier like everyone else? Its starting to worry me because eligibility still hasn’t started for me (oct2023)

If you are protected person , you dont need that document, that´s only when you are claimant.
Your proof of status is your letter, notice of decission.
At least here in AB, with that document you can go to any Registry and get a province ID. I dont know about the other provinces but I think it should be the same.
Hi everyone, I applied in June 2024 and received my AOR in December 2024. Since then, I’m still waiting for eligibility and background check to start. The Medical Exam section is currently blank. The latest update was Biometrics – Completed in January 2025.
Is this normal? Would it be a good idea to request GCMS notes at this point? Also, what’s the next step in the process? I’m not very familiar with the full procedure.
