I am directing this inquiry to those who submitted family application. Was test marked complete at different times for spouses who wrote test on different dates? Let’s say I write my test and my spouse has not written theirs, would my test be marked complete before theirs?

Depending on how long after she does hers, then yes, your test may be processed before your wife.

If you and your spouse took the test at different times with a reasonable gap between, there’s a high chance the updates will also come at different times.

In my case, my spouse and I have completed most steps around the same time, and we’ve consistently received updates together.

I did the test 2 weeks before my husband did and his test was marked complete a week before mine

I raised the webform and their reply was "We verified the information on file and can confirm that your fingerprints result were not received by the responsible office yet."

I got the response for webform raised 2 days ago on same topic, hope to see status update in tracker in next few days.

IRCC response: “The responsible office will review the documents that have been received and you will be contacted if further information is required.”

Timeline of Citizenship Application:

• Application Submitted: February 23 (Self)
• AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt): March 10
• Background Verification Completed: March 24 (no fingerprint request)
• Citizenship Test Scheduled: April 3
• Test Taken: April 12
• Test Marked as Completed (Online Status): April 22

Since then, there has been no further progress as of May 30.

I submitted a web form to update my address from Woodstock to Brampton. I received a confirmation email stating that the address had been updated. However, when I called IRCC a month later, they informed me that the address still shows as Woodstock in their system. Since I didn’t want to risk missing any further updates or communication, I decided to leave it as the old address for now.


Question: Has anyone experienced this issue? Why might the address still be showing as the old one despite receiving confirmation of the update?
I did not receive a fingerprint request—does everyone get this by default, or is it only requested for certain applicants?

I applied in february , AOR received March 5th. Fingerprint request received on april 2nd and I did my fingerprints on april 4th. After waiting for almost 2 months I reached out to IRCC to confirm if they received my fingerprints. Turned out they never received my fingerprints, the only thing that is marked complete on the portal is the test . I did my fingerprints at commissionaires. Anybody faced similar situation?

just an update on this , Background marked completed as of 28th and tracker was updated today.

It was a mail room issue in my case affecting a large number of people. They had backed up confirmations to mail out for like 2 weeks, but they were telling people who called into the RCMP line that it was "in progress" even though it was completed, but not yet mailed.

Thank you for always sharing your updates! My application is one day behind yours so whenever you post an update, I know I can typically expect 1 in a day or 2. I wrote my test on April 13, and it got updated to complete on tracker today.

New update: Background showed up as complete on Tracker today May 31st, but it says it was completed on May 29th

Hi Navreetk, could you please tell when did you receive your test invitation? How many days of physical presence you have when you applied? Is it a single or family application?
