ok thanks for your response

So, just a update - on the 23 of this month I got a email fr IRCC that i should fill out form IMM5409 - statutory declaration of common-law union and upload within one month time of the letter. This is the only response me or my partner received since last year (2024) August when asked to submit my (dependent) biometrics.
and this response came on his birthday. strange!

Hi, are your dependents in Canada or outside?
I am the dependant (my partner is the protected person in Canada) and I am outside of Canada. I live in one of the pilot project countries.

Today my spouse has received an email to say that he and his dependant (me) have met the eligibility requirement to apply for PR as a protected person. So, we are now essentially awaiting medical request letter to be issued us the dependant and for the background checks to be done. plus my spouse have yet to received his prearrival letter (PAL). Fingers cross - hopefully soon.

I just got my pre-arrival letter - wow - feeling positive
the next would be for me to received my medical - hopefully soon

That’s great. Would just caution being too excited. Processing and getting to eCOPR and COPR may still take some time. We don’t see many of the pilot programs cases posting about their processing times (especially recently)so it is unclear whether the pilot programs are allocated a portion of the yearly PR quota for protected people, refugees and their families or whether they get processed as part of a general queue . There is a significant backlog that IRCC is trying to get through but would look at some threads to get an idea what kind of processing times people are facing from final decision, P1, P2 and then eCOPR.

Thank you for this, and your right!
