My file is stuck and i haven't received any meaningful update from IRCC.
I submitted a complete application for Permanent Residence under the Self-Employed Federal Program, which was received by IRCC on June 15, 2020.
IRCC did not acknowledge receipt of my application until September 12, 2023.
As of May'25, only the criminality check has been completed.
No progress has been made on the eligibility, medical, or security assessments.
I have made numerous attempts to follow up with IRCC including: Webform submissions, Phone calls but got no update.

Since 2021 Applied , AOR Received in 2022,Bio 2024 then nothing.

There is no direct link between biometrics and IME. Biometrics is the very first step after AOR to confirm who you are with ircc and enable them to auto check with the 5 EYEs database to see if you are inadmissible to Canada.
The step after biometrics will be sending your file to your local responsible office. Your local office will start processing your eligibility in accordance with their regional plan. Self employed class is just a tiny portion of their work, so expect delays. ( PFLs, Interviews often happen in this process)
If you pass eligibility, local office will request medical examination. So there is really no way to predict the actual time you will get your IMEs. Applying GCMS notes can be helpful sometime, but not always informative.
Come and join the Whatsapp group, we have a chart of people's progress status, where you can roughly see where everybody's at. And in some extent, predict the movement of your file. Look for people within your regional office. because local policies can be different. Like Hong Kong sent out IMEs to everyone one month after AOR, for the last two years.

That progress bar means nothing, it is a pre-set "clock" goes to 100% after 29 months has past since the submission of our application. just ignore that bar. everybody is delayed.
IRCC Visa Offices Outside Canada
Check for the office responsible for your residential address in the 0008 form submitted within your application. that is your processing office after AOR. ( all AORs are processed at Sydney, Canada)
