Timeline
ITA: 8 July 2024
Submitted & AOR: 6 Sept 2024
BIL & MIL: 22 Oct
Biometrics complete: 11 Nov
My medical complete: 19 Nov, my wife's was completed on 20 Dec (she had to do an additional ultrasound and send the results to the panel physician)
Background verification: 28 Nov
Eligibility confirmed: 28 Nov (approx.)
P1 mail: 2 Jan 2025
Request for missing info: 3 Jan (exact port of entry and phone number)
P2: 6 Jan
Submit COB correction: 24 Jan (they had my country of birth as my second nationality; my lawyer said to email the P1 mail with the corrected information)
eCOPR: 19 March 2025 (194 days after AOR; 72 days after P2)

PR card: Address and photos in review with IRCC

Final update for me: Today (12 May 2025) my family and I received our PR cards!
This was 54 days after eCOPR (248 days after AOR)

I never got an update on the PR Portal (everything still says Under review with IRCC) and I was never able to link my application to my GCKey account. So, I have no idea how long it took for FD and/or ghost updates 1 and 2.
The only time that Canada Post mentioned that I had mail on the way from Canadian Bank Note Company was today, when it said I had 4 pieces out for delivery.

Got P1 today, is there any time frame for P2?

Applied for spousal sponsorship PR online from Asia in mid June, 2023.

Immigration office/officer in Asia made crazy mistakes and issued refusal letter in June, 2024.

Appealed refusal right away with Immigration Appeal Division (IAD).

Minister’s counsel easily ruled in our favor in an informal alternate dispute resolution conference in November, 2024.

As a result of the crazy mistakes the immigration office/officer in Asia made, it delayed our eventual PR approval by about 7-9 months. Because of the delay, we had to pay for another visitor record and medical exam, never mind the stress it caused and the time we had to put in for the appeal.

We contacted 3 MPs, and while two provided us with support letters, IMO, in our case, the MPs didn’t really help our situation much at all.

First email (P1) and second email (P2) were received and completed Feb 12 and Feb 13.

eCoPR was finally received on May 9, 2025.

I received an invitation for PR on 27th oct 2024
Submitted File for express entry on 10th nov
Received P1 on 8th Feb and P2 on 11 th Feb 2025
But still waiting for ECOPR , tried to call IRCC
But anyone knows what is their current timeline after P2 , as it’s been already 3 months that I have submitted P2 and showing it’s on final stage
Any help will be appreciated

- Emergency travel: 15 Jan 2025 - I had to travel outside of Canada for a family emergency, and reached out to the P1 email letting them know about my travel plans. They told me to resend the P1 questionnaire once I was back in Canada.
- Returned to Canada: 09 Feb 2025. Wrote to P1 email resending my P1 questionnaire with the updated last entry to Canada date. Didn't receive a response this time, and I didn't call them or try to contact them again.
- eCOPR: March 20 (Became PR at Montreal; issued at Etobicoke)
- PR card GU1: May 6 ("Latest update: Final decision - May 6, 2025: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.")
- PR card GU2: May 7 (Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below. -- We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.)
- Received PR card: May 12

I got my P1 on May 2nd and I have not received the P2 yet.

Is there literally anyone who received GU1 (final decision date) for PR card but no updates after? I feel like I'm literally the only unlucky one with this issue - even my wife received her PR card. I got the final decision date on April 24 (same as my wife) and yet no updates - status still shows "submitted" and address approved on PR portal, but no “mailed” update since over 2 weeks now. God, when will this end?!
