It probably depends on the details. Are you going to travel for a few weeks at a time and return to the same permanent address in between? In that case, there's no need to update your address. If you won't have any access to your current address because you're selling your house, for example, you would need to update your address. Then you have to figure out where you are going to receive mail while you're travelling.

Thank you very much for your response. I realize I should have provided a bit more detail.

We are planning to travel until the approval, so we won’t have a constant address during this time and will not be returning to our previous address. If necessary I can provide the address of friends. However, I am a bit unclear about the reason for requesting an address, given that the application was done online and all communication so far has also been online.

Provide some address to them just in case - like friend's - but reality is they mostly do not use the mailing address at all.

The one case where important is if you will be in Canada - esp principal applicant - change address to Canada.

Thank you very much, I think I will do that, since I genuinely will not have an address and I think they will be happy with me updating it every 3-4 weeks :D

I have also noticed that people here know which office does the processing for their application, how do you guys know that? All the emails they sent to me doesn't mention it

I am a sponsor; PA is my wife.
For context, we submitted the form to add me as an unpaid representative in imm5476e

After reviewing the AOR,
I was able to link from the application to the Application tracker https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca and can see the application status when logging in using a representative.

But when trying to link the application in GC Key, it keeps showing: Based on the information you entered, we found no applications.

Any suggestions?

Does she expect to need to leave Canada during processing?

If he has a means of leaving and re-entering thats not an issue, like having a valid visa doesnt stop you from applying as an outlanded.
My question is which is better and faster to get open work permits

Does she expect to need to leave Canada during processing?

Assuming this is not Quebec:
-The IRCC timelines show longer processing times for Inland (24 months vs 12 for outland). That said, there is some doubt how much this reflects reality, it may just be a technical thing.
-That said, it is possible it's true.
-If you mean to say your priority is that she can work as soon as she arrives: apply outland and she moves once approved - she'll have right to work as a PR, no waiting. PR approval might be quick for a German citizen.*
-If your priority is for her to get the work permit while in Canada with you, my belief is not enough information to say. Probably faster via inland - but it may mean longer for PR to get finalized.

So my summary: given uncertainty, if you/she can get the application ready and submit asap, do that ASAP and she can come later as outland if you so decide - or wait until it's approved. In other words, that is most straightforward decision path. If she already plans to get on a plane tomorrow, and it's really important for you to be together ASAP - do that, although there may be a delay for the work permt.

*You say she has a visa. Do you mean an ETA? The reason I ask: if she has some other citizenship (esp by birth) that requires longer security checks, may not be as fast. But for a German-born, probably on the faster side (security etc for NATO country citizens usually somewhat faster).

Try adding "2" (1 PA and 1 Sponsor) in the section where they asked for no, of applicants if you haven't done so

Why does she have a visitor's visa if she has a German passport?

Anyway: I can't say it /will/ take longer, just that there's a chance.

Otherwise, I pretty much stay with what I wrote above. Good luck.

About the only smaller additional point: if she expects to need to leave Canada much during the PR application, best to do outland.

She already had her visa in her Nigeria passport before got her german passport
