Hello everyone, Need help please.

I am waiting for ecopr P2 was on Oct 31, Work permit expires on Jan 25th, I am inland CEC applicant. I know if I didn't receive ecopr until 22nd Jan I have apply BOWP for myself. But the question is for my spouse.I non accompany him, so I was going to apply spousal sponsorship for him once I received my ecopr but can someone please let me know, what should I apply for him, as his work permit is also going to expire with me on Jan 25th, I mean do we need to apply his BOWP, SOWP or Visitor record. which one would be the best option? I am so worried.

Also, If I apply his Spousal Sponsorship before 25 Jan (WP expiry), should I still need to apply his bowp. sowp. visitor record?

Thank you so much in advance.

Since both of you are on the same application, I am thinking that a BOWP for both of you will be ideal.
However, I pray that you get your eCOPR before then so you don't have to go through the hassles and the wait. Rooting for you.

Not sure, if I should apply his visitor record. feeling bad, waiting from 2.5 months and still struggling to maintain the status.

I see your point. He is not in Canada currently, is that? If he is in Canada, what is his status?
2 options.
1. If he is not in Canada, you go ahead with your BOWP. Once you receive your eCOPR, you file for him.
2. If he is already in Canada, he can apply to extend his stay either OWP or Visitor Status. With this he can continue to stay while you file for him as soon as your eCOPR shows up.

These are my thoughts.

Thank you for the motivation Aizique, Much appreciated.

My spouse is in canada, his WP is going to expire on Jan 25 same as me. I am thinking to apply his visitor record.

Yeah that would be a valid way to maintain status

That sounds good. I was just wondering why not extend the WP. VS means he can't work until you file for him but with WP extension, he will be on implied status pending when a decision is made and will continue to work. That about what's best.

Go for SOWP instead of Visitor Record. Once you get your eCoPR, you can withdraw the SOWP application and they are going to refund it back even before they start processing on it!

Thank you so much Aizique and Hyper. Valid points.

Just want to clarify, do I need withdraw his SOWP after applying his PR application?

I mean we are on applied status as well but we still need BOWP to maintain the status. and for spousein case I received ecopr before 25 jan and I applied his PR application. I still need to apply his SOWP or Visitor to maintain his status right?

Confused why I need to withdraw his SOWP after apply.
