I submitted my Non-Express Entry PR application on May 27, 2024, and received my Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) on October 5, 2024.


On October 29, 2024, I received a request for medical and biometric submissions for myself, my spouse, and our two children. While our medicals were cleared on different dates, the final medical approval was completed on November 14, 2024. Our background and eligibility checks began immediately after we provided our biometrics, even before the medicals were fully passed.

Biometric date 28 October and November 2.


However, I still haven’t received a Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL) or any updates regarding the background or eligibility stages on the tracker or GCKey.


When I contacted IRCC, I was informed that parts of the background and eligibility checks are complete, but some sections are still under review.


I’ve noticed that many applicants have received their PAL shortly after passing their medicals. Could you help me understand why there might be a delay in my case? Thank you.

I am in a bit of situation right now as I applied for non express pnp pr 3 mos back and haven’t recived my aor yet and work permit expires january end, what are my options? As we need aor for bowp i guess, anyone can share recent timeline like how long is it taking right now for aor in pnp pr proccess?

@Alabatross_als: This is just my view and I am not an expert or any consultant. Right now, applications submitted on 23rd July are getting AOR, i.e., it's taking around 5 months to get the AOR. Combine this with upcoming holidays, and I doubt you will receive your AOR by Jan 2025 (if it is just 3 months). I think you need to file for a Work Permit extension as soon as possible so that you can continue to work until a decision is taken on your WP extension.

I just received emails for AOR, BIL and ADR, July 23 applicant.

For ADR, I left some gaps in Schedule A for both me and my wife. I'm having trouble opening the form for Schedule A, they sent a link but it's not working.

They also requested my original marriage certificate, I thought I had submitted it but I guess I just submitted the translated to English version, not the original one.

I linked the application to my GCkey account. I had to try a couple of times because it wasn't working, until I realized I had to enter the city where I was living when I submitted the application instead of the city where I currently live.

You should receive it soon. Someone in this thread from July 23 received AOR last week. I guess they are processing those ones now.

Can someone help me with the following questions?

1. I received ADR for Schedule A form. I'm filling it without any gaps but I don't have enough rows in the personal history section. How can I complete it?
2. I also got ADR requesting my original marriage certificate (apparently I mistakenly only sent the translated one). Should I submit just one webform with both Schedule A and marriage certificate or should I submit them separately?

Compliments of the season!

I have completed my studies and received my completion letter today. My study permit expired on December 4, 2024. However, I applied for study permit extension since July 14, 2024 and still don't have approval. I received P2 email on December 20, 2024 and replied the same day.

Please, do you think that I will still get approval for my extension since my PR application has been approved? I am asking because I can no longer work since I have received my completion letter and I don't know when my eCOPR will come considering the current trend. I am unable to apply for PGWP application without a valid study permit.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter.

TIMELINE:

5 March 2024 : Applied for non express file
19 June 2024 : Payment for biometrics
19 June 2024 : Link account to GC Key
19 June 2024 : Additional Information Required (Appendix A)
19 June 2024 : This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2024/03/05.
5 July 2024 : Acknowledgement of the webform (Appendix A submitted)
25 July 2024 : Additional document required (Employment Letter, Educational transcript)
26 July 2024 : Biometrics Completed
26 July 2024 : Medical Updated
30 July 2024 : Submitted the additional document
1 August 2024 : Review Started of the additional documents

I contacted my local MP Office regarding my file and they replied that my application is considered as non-routine as it has been transferred to Winnipeg office for additional review and verification.

19 November 2024 : Received Pre-Arrival Letter.
02 December 2024: Final Decision has been made to your application
03 December 2024: Portal 1
09 December 2024: Portal 2
22 December 2024: Update in online tracker -
Activity status updated: Background verification
Background verification status has been updated to Completed

Hi there! I applied for PNP and paid 950 cad for my application fee instead of 1525. Does anyone know how I can the additional fees without having to withdraw my application?
I am scared of just paying the fees and adding the receipt to webform as IRCC might not see it and I don't want my application to be returned after a long time of waiting.
