Hello everyone,
I am currently on a visitor visa in canada and I am getting an LMIA for 72205 -cellular telephone technician position.

I have done Bachelor of Arts-General from India and have 1.5 years of experience in mobile repair in india.

Is it advisable to apply under OINP under this NOC and later on in the Express Entry stream?

Is it a requirement to have education in Technician or mobile repair field or more experience in this field?

I am worried if they might reject my OINP application or Express Entry stating that I may not have the right education or experience to work in this field?

I will highly appreciate your thoughtful insights and experience as this is a time sensitive issue

Thank you for answer. Do you have any idea how can I add that without getting serious query/question from CIC?

You can edit your EE profile when you get nominated and before your PR application. You have to include this as hiding stuff from CIC will cause serious consequences.

Hi @Miss bee I received this update today on my work permit application "Latest update:
Final decision - September 13, 2024:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."
When can I expect the final decision?
Have you got any update? I have same on my GC key with September 24, 2024 date

@Miss bee how long does it take for dependent to get biometrics letter after primary applicant has received?
Do I need to inform them about my spouse coming into Canada (that's status changed to visitor)?
At the time of submitting the application, we uploaded an old police certificate because it's not been up to a year that we used the last one, so we decided to see if they will request for it. Will this delay security check?
Is medical compulsory? I just received AOR, biometrics and ADR documents, which I have all submitted. Thanks a lot.

You don’t need to send upfront PCC from RCMP . IRCC has access to all information from RCMP. PCC is not mandatory document.

In the document checklist it says that I have to submit a police certificate from each country I have lived for six or more months. I assumed that it would include Canada

hello all and @Miss bee, thank you for answering queries patiently. One question from my side -
If we are done with PCC earlier and after that before submitting the application, I visited India for ~5 weeks, do I need to get a new PCC? or I attach my previous PCC along with the application? will it work?

Thanks

It can take few weeks. You don’t need to inform IRCC if your spouse came ti Canada. Medical is mandatory document and everyone has to do it unless you previously did for any visa application to Canada. PCC request depends on officer working on your application. You should see if you have cleared criminality section. If yes they won’t request another PCC .

You must include police certificates when you apply for permanent residence.

Our online system will ask for a police certificate for:

  • you and your family members who are 18 years or older
  • and
  • every country you (or a family member) stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row
You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada.

No , you only have to redo PCC if you have stayed in India 180 days or continuously 6 months in a row. Also sometimes officer working on your application also request one. Otherwise your PCC is stopped valid as you only went for 5 weeks .

This is normal. You received PAL as you passed eligibility stage . You must be going through security check. Also looks like you haven’t cleared criminality section too which is part of background check.

I got medical today for me and my wife. As I hired consultant on half way, so I see my consultant details on email, address, and contact details.
Is there any issue? do I need to change or its fine?
What contact details should I provide while giving medical? (Mine or Consultant)
