Hi,
I just received the status of permanent resident in Canada and I would like to apply for the travel document.
My question is after I receive this document and I would like to visit the USA, do I need a visa?
Thank you!

Yes. You are not a Canadian citizen.

When you call refugee you can't no use original passport country, so for example if you said " Yes. You are not Canadian citizen." how can I apply for a visa if you can't use original passport ?

You need to apply for the US visa using your RTD.

As noted you apply using the refugee travel document instead of passport.

Note, there are some countries to which you can travel on strength of the PR card + RTD (i.e. without a visa). I think Mexico is one, for example.

Thank you for the asnwear ! I'm only interested for USA.
I asked a lawyer and he said I can travel with PR+RTD

Lawyer is wrong. You need a US visa if you want to travel to the US.
