Don’t read the #Chunks garbage stuff. He/she is out of mind
My lawyer did reconsideration 2 and half months ago, I did not receive any information yet, please anyone have any idea, how long it will take for decision, or should I do new H&C, please advice me. My lawyer asking me to wait for Reconsideration results.
if you only recently got refused there is non point in refilling a case right away. Nothing has likely changed since August so you should wait for reconsideration.

Not out of my mind. Plenty of arguments of why parents aren’t guaranteed PR and aren’t considered immediate family as defined by IRCC. Why do we have a PGP program and quota if all parent can just apply for H&C and get approved? Also examples of many parents getting denied PR through H&C. The increased amount of parents applying for H&C is likely going to make it more difficult for parents to get approved because volume of applicants will make H&C department decide on a policy when it comes to addressing people trying to use H&C because they don’t want to wait for PGP. We have seen other cases when the volume of applicants lead to IRCC clamping down. H&C was not meant as a reunification policy for parents and grandparents to join their children in Canada.

I got my aip after 15 days when I send an email for reconsideration but it took me 1 month to gather new evidence like medical records of my spouse and letter of recommendation to address officers refusal I did it on my own with help from here.

Dear canuck there's nothing to wait for... people play lotto max until they are alive and do not win... at least lotto max is open to play.... PGP lottery has been closed past 3 years and likely wont re-open anytime soon. Wait for what? A chance to play in lottery? If there are 100s of thousands of applicants what are the chances that you will win your parents? As my lawyer said... chances of you winning PGP lottery is ZERO.... H&C is program where people can apply if other program is not available for them (PGP program IS NOT AVAILABLE for people) so if they have special circumstances and H&C factors they should go for it... As I said before Federal Court and Federal Judges have more knowledge of law and know exactly whats right and wrong...Im seeing more and more H&C cases winning at Federal Court so clearly IRCC is WRONG..... Canada needs more immigrants to survive economically and demographically...Canada's population growth is at 2% which is close to extension if no immigrants... Immigrants take jobs that no Canadian will ever take... so if you need immigrants to strengthen your economy and growth then you should also allow their immediate family in if the sponsor is financially eligible...

@Pear23 how long does it take you when the office inform you of stage 2 assignment review? Thank you
Hey @Waiting2020, after aip april 18th, they sent me an email on May 13th requesting background declaration forms as our application had passed the two year mark, then on June 13th they requested copy of our passports, then ecopr came on July 13th. They never informed me of reviewing stage 2 documents so am not sure how long that part will take.

Hi everyone, quick question. I received an email from lawyer requesting Biometrics and it said Final Notice. When I read the notice it said that they sent the biometrics before and we have not responded and sending the final notice. Im not sure why lawyer never notified me of initial notice... Im surprised they sent second notice...

Also, I would like to request GCMS notes independently without letting my attorney know... is it ok?

Hi Kate yes have seen it happen a lot of times where lawyers forget to inform clients about Biometric request and Ircc would send out a second and final request this is why it is so hard to have peace of mind when your application is handled by these lawyers sigh...please do the Biometric asap.

yes you can apply for GCMS notes without your lawyer knowing

Hey all,
I just got my AIP, Praise be to God.
Here's my timeline.
Submitted online application August 2023
Biometrics requested and submitted September 2023
AIP received November 2023.
No AOR was ever sent.

My application was based on hardship and BIOC.
I am really happy this long and hard journey is close to being over. Thank you all for all the tips posted over the years. It really helped me put my application together, in addition with having good legal representation.
