That form has no validation, it will accept anything. Once you go for submission is when you will face issue with options that are currently not allowed.

Applying for visa while OCI is pending is allowed. As for concurrent evisa and entry-visa applications, as your Sep 19th evisa application is in suspended animation, I would think its okay. You can check with BLS when you walk-in at Edmonton though they may be clueless.
Know that they will retain your Canadian passport for visa stamping.

I need all your advice. I applied for my kid's OCI walk in on OCT 18. Currently no ACK on OCI Tracker but 'PROCESSING' per BLS site. My travel date is Dec 15. Question is: if I apply for entry visa now, and assuming they retain the original passport of my child and assuming it takes 45 days from today, i am afraid that even I get OCI in hand before Dec 15, if my entry visa is still under process and CGI has my kid's passport, i will not be able to travel. So given all this, should i go for ENTRY visa or not. If I do, then I am afraid that my kid's passport will not be with me, and If I do not, i will feel guilty all day every day until Dec 15.

Oh I had no idea they will retain my CDN pp.. So if my OCI or Evisa will come before entry visa again I will be stuck.. Oh my gosh this is all so messed up :( So one way or other I have no choice other than to wait for OCI or Evisa

yeah because entry visa requires a sticker on your Canadian PP and hence they ask for original Canadian passport for it.. in your case (and mine, though it is not as urgent as yours), we are stuck and have to wait for OCI or pray to god that e-visa opens up.. Now, there is some discussion that Entry visa may come sooner than 45 days but there is no guarantee for it

Same with Toronto location. OCI and Visa categories, may be others, all open for entire Nov.

I think the 45 day info is bogus and it should be much faster. If I were you I'll try to get clarification from the consulate about average processing time for entry visa. You still have time even if it takes a week for them to respond. Book an appt for say Nov 1st week (Brampton and Toronto have slots right now) and act based on what you hear back.

Hello everyone

my timeline for OCI submission. May i know based on the below timelines when can i expect OCI to be received
Acknowledgement at BLS Site - Sep 26th 2023
Acknowledgement at OCI Site - Sep 28th 2023
Mission post-Vancouver jurisdiction
Current Status on OCI Status - UNDER-PROCESS
So if someone can shed some light and share your experience with me it would be so kind and best of luck everyone
