Hi All, My PCC status is "Police Verification Report is clear. PCC is available for issuance." for weeks now. Someone in here recommended to write an email to pcc.toronto@mea.gov.in, I received standard response the process will take 6-8 weeks. Has anyone faced this situation, how long it takes to receive the PCC from this status? Appreciate any help. Thanks
Actually, I got this tracking message as well and when I emailed them, they replied 6-8 weeks too. Not sure if there is anything we can do here.

Hi Everyone, I have applied for PCC through BLS Ottawa & I can see that my application is struck with same status for more than 2 weeks.

Application Pickup: Sep 27
Received by BLS Ottawa: Oct 2
Processing at High Commission: Oct 3

From Oct 3 when I track my application in Passport Seva website, It says that 'PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.'

Any suggestions?

Can I submit my PR application with old PCC that I have obtained one year ago along with an explanation letter saying that I have applied new PCC? (I was in India for 6 months during the last one year period and hence I have applied for the recent one).

Greetings, I hold a Canadian passport and require an Indian Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for employment purposes. Must I include my original Canadian passport when applying for the PCC? I inquired with the BLS help desk, and they advised that I should submit my original Canadian passport. I have an upcoming trip planned for the end of December 2023, and I'm uncertain whether my PCC will be processed by then. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

PCC doesn't need your passport.

Look at stages and debug the process step by step.
Steps after file passing to high commission are:

1. Your file reaching India
2. Your file reaching police SP and a CAT # in your email.
3. your file reaching the local police office. Someone visits your home and takes documents and dakshina.
4. police office uploading directly into online solution.
5. India embassy taking it and passing off to Canada side.
6. Printing
7. Transfer to BLS
8. Transfer to Purolator.

In no condition should you try to negotiate/plea with IRCC folks. They take weeks to months to reply, you lose time in between and they ask for what they originally asked anyways.

My application haven't reached that stage.

It is struck in 'PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. '

And I haven't got any email too. Tried calling HIC Ottawa but nobody picks up the call. Emailed them & didn't got any response :(

You recommend not to submit the application without PCC right? The explanation letter won't be enough you say?

I still have 42 days to submit my application. But I have to submit it before Nov 2 as I have claimed 50 points for my job offer. My job offer's validity will be less than a year if I submit my application after 2nd Nov.

As per IRCC, Offer should be valid at least for a year when we submit our PR application to IRCC

Can't really say anything for sure since this is for PR. I think they do take explanation letter for that (there is upload button, from what I recall), but would still need PCC at later stage. I think explanation letter can at least keep you inside the timer (I guess they'd count validity based on the submission date and not review date since that is up in the air). So submit around Nov 1 to be safe due the job offer validity.

I'd guess you can get the offer validity extended if possible. might be better to get extended validity through HR and submit with PCC.

TL;DR : Completed applications with no extra pending things are better, ofc.

There might be an open office day every week, just invest/waste your time and go there. Might not be that bad in Ottawa. Also, you can search this in your inbox, may be something is there in spam; PCC email comes from "passport.admin@passportindia.gov.in" .
