My wife’s eligibility for spousal application went into progress yesterday and today there were ghost updates. any idea what to expect? (Dec 22 applicant)
Salams Noor - could you please share what clarification the MP provided you - if it was not private/specific to your case.Just submitted TRV application yesterday for my spouse (October 5, 2023).
Applied for Spousal Sponsorship on July 26, 2023.
Received AOR1 on September 27, 2023.
Received Sponsor Approval on September 29, 2023.
Received Biometric Request on September 29, 2023.
Biometric Appointment booked for October 20, 2023.
Visa Office is set to London, UK on October 3, 2023.
Background Check is in Progress for both sponsorship and visit visa application.
I am a Canadian born citizen. Wife is Pakistani.
I also contacted my MP’s office. They provided the much needed clarification on the TRV for Spouse process.
I wonder which visa offices are processing applications within 5-6 months. My husband's application is currently being processed in Sydney, Australia, known for their lengthy delays in processing visas. We submitted the application in November of last year and his background check has been in progress since April 19.Salams Noor - could you please share what clarification the MP provided you - if it was not private/specific to your case.
There are many on this forum who applied for TRV right after the announcement of Family reunification back in May 24, but very few have got their TRVs approved. And recently, it seems that the Spousal PR processing timelines have reduced drastically to 5-6 months - so it seems CIC is not processing TRVs (yet keeping it open perhaps for income) and focusing on quickly processing Spousal PR.
If there is any insight you can share from your conversation with MP - that will be great.
I feel sorry for your application processing delay. No Two applications are identical - and each application takes its own path in CIC processing.I wonder which visa offices are processing applications within 5-6 months. I understand that applications have different processing times and how this may not be dependent on the visa offices but rather than what seems like a new trend in processing applications more quickly. It's interesting how newer applications are being processed within 5-6 months, whereas applications like mine and many others who submitted theirs last year are still awaiting PPRs.I feel sorry for your application processing delay. Recent applications submitted in March and April, have started to receive PPR (passport requests) or at COPR numbers (ppr follows).

Are these applications from Sydney, Australia VO??....i dont know. You can research that yourself. But yes, applications have started to process in 5-6 months, which has never happened before.
Congratulations!Alhamdulilah, just got more updates.
October 6: BG completed and COPR document number generated.
It is not hard anymore because you have to fill up a webform now and they give you an appointment themselves. The only downside is that they might give appointment after biometric expire date.Is it still hard for Pakistani applicants to book Biometric appointments?
Hi I have a similar timeline. I got my COPR numbers too on Oct 6th but no PPR till now. Have you received PPR ?Alhamdulilah, just got more updates.
