Hi,
I applied study permit in the year 2020 and completed my masters, after tht completed one year work experience and now got an OINP invite, im expecting an invite soon . below is my doubt

1. While applying study permit i didnt mention about the incomplete degree and i am not going to claim any points for the same

2. Now when doing the PR application , how do i explain this: because i have to mention the travel history, if i explain the travel history i need to mention the incomplete degree

Is there any one who is in same boat like me: neither im misrepresenting nor i want to hide any information

Any expert advice would be highly appreciated

Thanks and Regards

Yes even though you haven't completed and not claiming points it you have to mention it. Otherwise it will be misinterpretation.

Simple and plain explain it as it is. To and from date of your study and 'not completed' in the ongoing or complete section. You have misinterpreted by not mentioning it before so try to frame an explanation letter for that. Also taking legal help will be fruitful. Hope it helps.

How is it misinterpreting, cause while applying study permit it never asked beyond 10 years any data , and I didn't lie anywhere , how will it be under misinterpreting this ..

Any expert opnion would be great , also I'm not claiming any points for this education

I'm planning to explain this in personal information section , what's your thought ??

2008 Sept till 2010 Jan , I applied for my study permit it in 202

2008 Sept till 2010 Jan , I applied for my study permit it in 2020 August and approved in March 2021
Didn't filled education form. You need to fill all your education till date to get student visa even though its complete, ongoing or complete. Have you missed this degree in that form as well?

Yes, I didn't mention this
So that is what I was referring to as misinterpretation. History is of past 10 years and education is till date whether its completed or not.
Have you done this incomplete study in your home country or not?

I was working at the same time as freelance consultant untill I returned to India while studying for an Indian company, came back and continued to work till 2012 untill I changed to another company ... And while filing the study permit I only showed my work experience...

Can I write in personal history and explain the same as it was never asked to mention
See the thing is you believe it or not you have misinterpreted. You can't undo that and since you have done it in New Zealand it will easily pop up in your immigration history. Also you would have applied for study visa for that study which will also come up easily. I think it's best you get professional help. It's also best to frame an explanation letter.
