It hasn't been terrible but with the trend of Sydney just taking slow while I see others already get their LPP done,I'm tempted to reach out to my MP but I'm not sure if they'll even do anything.

LMAO! Most people waiting here have applied in 2022 with test completed either end of 2022 to early 2023.
@myra20sharma if you don't mind me asking, did you see anything in your GCMS notes that caused the delay or were they just super slow?
I can see how frustrating it is seeing other people get approved so quick while there's no explanation for the wait or that we just got dumped into a slow office.
Well, IRCC would not provide these types of statistics, with an excuse of not having resources due to prioritizing processing applications.
So, we can only try to infer some patterns from their communications (bragging about their standard processing times metrics) and some anecdotal experiences.
I think normally a minority of applicants are experiencing these issues, but covid has changed this temporarily. Until a year ago I was very enthusiastic about Canada and would keep telling everybody who was willing to listen how Canadian immigration system is so transparent and easy to navigate. After over a year of no activity on my file, I tried to get any explanation or update from them, and that is when I started having thoughts that maybe I came to a wrong place. So, my eyes were opened to these problems, but not until they affected me personally. If you're in the lucky 80% or however many they can manage to process quickly, you can live happily without being aware that anything is wrong.
I wonder if people applying on October this year will have their oath before us.

Finally, my file is out of Sydney and has been transferred to the local office in Montreal. The story is that it was a mistake by the agent who processed my file; he incorrectly calculated my physical presence days, which made me fall short of the required 1095 days. Therefore, my application was sent to a special department in the Sydney office (RC-8090) that handles such cases, but to be reviewed by an officer, not an agent. To reach your turn, I had to wait 9 months. Finally, the officer opened my file but he also followed the same mistake made by the agent and cancelled my file, sending me an explanation letter that I was short on days, etc. However, I replied to him with a detailed explanation that he had miscalculated my physical presence days, which left me almost 200+ days short. He replied to me with apologies that it was their mistake and two days later issued a new C number with a new AOR, noting that my file had been transferred to the local office and should be treated as urgent. So hopefully things will go smoothly from here. The only frustrating thing is that I found notes about this issue on the GCMS a long time ago, and I tried to inform them about it via the call centre, web form, and MP channel, but it seems they don't read the messages; it's only one-way communication.

What is your local office?
Secondary office is Vancouver who sent my test invite and did BG check. Absolutely quick all less than 2 months. But I'm from Edmonton, so should my local office be Edmonton?
