CongratsAnother update here: I got the PR card application approval today!
Portal 1: Aug 4, replied Aug 5, mentioned I already had an account in the PR Portal (got automatic reply), did not send follow-up emails (Virtual Landing Unit)
Portal 2: Aug 11, replied on the same day
eCoPR: Aug 17
PR card: Aug 28 (approved and mailed - I'm tracking it in the IRCC account)
PR card receipt: waiting
FYI, in the IRCC account they say: "We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive."
Virtual Landing Unit sent me the Portal 1 email
you said Etobicoke had sent the email, right ? They process faster than Montreal.. it's been 5 weeks since I received eCoPR and still no updates regarding photo or address.
No, the one who sent me the email was Virtual Landing Unit (it's not as common as the ones we see here with Etobicoke and Montreal).
Did you link your PR card application to your IRCC account?
I'm asking as my PR Portal account still has "in review with IRCC" for both my mail address and photo, so don't trust this information there; you need to check it in the IRCC account linked application.
Its been 3 weeks I uploaded my address info and Photo for PR Card, did not receive ECOPR.

Is there any way I can email IRCC to check on my COPR status, I called IRCC couple of times no one gives me any update. As per this thread looks like it only takes 2-3 days or max a week to receive COPR.
P2 to Ecopr for me from Montreal took exactly a monthIts been 3 weeks I uploaded my address info and Photo for PR Card, did not receive ECOPR.

Congratulations! you received eCOPR you are officially a permanent resident. You can stay in Canada for as long as you want. PR card is just one of the ways to proof your permant residency, it is not equal to your permanent residency status. You are a permanent resident even if the eCOPR or PR card expires. You just cannot travel yet. It is like in your home country even your ID card expires but you are still a citizen. I am pretty sure but please anyone corrects me if I am wrong.I received my eCOPR on August 29th, 2023 but the expiry date is September 10th, 2023 just in 12 days. My work permit also expires on the same day. It might take at least a month or two to receive my PR card. Can I stay in Canada with an expired eCOPR till my PR card arrives? Is anyone else in the same boat?
Your valuable response will be appreciated!
Got my eCoPR today from Montreal. It was pretty quick for me:
