we received the PPR today for my in laws. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the passports back with copr in India?
Approx 3 weeks from the date you submit passports via their courier to VFS. If you submit directly at one of the VFS office, if might cut few days.
Invitation to apply - 27th Sept 2021
Application submitted - 4th Dec 2021
Biometrics request - 9th June 2022
Medical request - 14th June 2022
Additional documents request - 23rd August 2022
Submitted documents - 20th Sept 2022
Second medical exam request - 2nd Dec 2022
File transferred to HM Niagara Falls office - 12th May 2023
Pre-arrival letter - 12th May 2023.
I want to check, if the file transferred to HM Niagara Falls team is any positive/negative sign? I received the pre-arrival letter few mins after file transfer from IRCC.

What is a pre-arrival letter? What is the content just to get an idea? I see many people mention pre-arrival letter, i did not receive anything of this when i became a PR. Might be it is only for the PGP.

I received Passport request for my mom PR today. She came to USA last week to visit my brother for a few months, so I will have to submit her passport for COPR in US now. I am bit confused on the process for this:
1. Should I just visit VAC office in USA and submit her documents for Visa stamping?
2. Should I email CPC Mississauga first and seek their approval to submit passport in US instead of India?
Looking for guidance here if anyone faced similar situation. Thanks in advance!

pre-arrival letter is not a "stage" for the application. It contains information for new immigrate to access servies for new comers to Canada.
Some VO send them out late, some send them out early. Inland applicate may not even need to use some of those services mentioned in the pre arrival letter .
Less than 3 weeks. My mom's own took 16 days . Submitted on Feb 14 and received it on March 2nd.

I have a question. I have the SA from the Federal and was advised to take the Quebec Selection Certificate. I applied for it and received it for my mother. I confirmed that they sent the CSQ to the IRCC Office handling our case which is Vancouver IRCC. Since my mother had Biometrics and Medical for her Supervisa and she is currently in Canada, may be they did not request both. What is pending is PCC. My mother will traveling back to my home country in two weeks. Is it possible to take a PCC from there immediately without the request from Vancouver IRCC office and post the same via WebForm? This is like upfront PCC. Will this be valid?
There is a process written to update mailing address. The question was should I be updating the mailing address at all?
I have not heard that they check any vaccination status like yellow card that has list of all vaccinations at the time of entry.
