Notes were dated yesterday so it is the latest status. It should have gone to review ready as soon as background was completed. It's coming to two months now. My local office is Scarborough. Didn't receive a reply.
Oh, Ok. Don’t worry it will be all good. I believe in this month we should see LPP completed and have our oath in next month or so.
Good Luck and enjoy the long weekend.

Cutting it too close now for PR renewal, just debating should apply to renew PR cards or wait a couple of months. Don’t want to do extra paperwork
Same here! I am waiting till end of April for LPP completion and will take a call.

Both time around 4 weeks, I would recommend sending a note to RCMP and check when did they send to IRCC office and around 3 weeks from when they sent is a fair estimate

Heels folks,

I was in USA for 7 months in beginning of 5 years when I applied for Canadian citizenship. During PR processing they request FBI clearance and I sent it to IRCC.
Do IRCC request it again for Canadian citizenship process?
Although my criminality passed in Feb 2022, but security clearance still in process from August 2022.

Thank you .

Just received latest gcms notes. My email to Scarborough on March 31 is acknowledged as "applicant asked for an update", but my file seems to be stuck. LPP are "not started". LPP review should also reflect in "e-grant review ready", but mine is still "test ready".

Although my background was completed on tracker in Feb, it's not noted on notes (and security is blanked out).

Any ideas why my LPP is not in progress? Nothing else is pending.
Inn your tracker is LPP says "In Progress" or "Not Started"? Can your share timeline please?

Finally, my background got completed!! Following is the timeline:

- Dec 2021 Applicant
- Feb 2022 AOR
- Sept 2022 Test Invitation
- Oct 2022 Test Mark Completed
- April 2023 Background Completed (was stuck in Security check for ~7 months based on updates from MP office)

Any Idea how long it will take for my LPP? My LPP has been in progress since last year when I got the AOR. My PR card expires in June, and I need to travel for a very important event in June. Can I hope that I will get to the oath before the end of May?

There were some good time estimations earlier in this thread that if the background is stuck it will clear after 6-8 months. That has been spot-on for me. I wonder for those who went through the same, how long it took before their LPP completes? I am already in my 16th month since the application.

We are in the same situation , my security is stuck and criminality passed . I’m January 2022 applicant online AOR March 02,2022 , text completed October 07,2022. You should get the LPP update soon but I will advise you mail the oath processing office about your upcoming trip and explain how important it means to you and request for early oath date . All the best and hopefully I should see some movement on mine application soon .

I think it would only make sense to contact the oath processing office if my LPP is completed right? Otherwise, they can't expedite a not completely processed application for oath, isn't it?
