My Timeline:

PR Confirmation e-mail: March 2, 2023 - replied on same day
Email with PR Portal credentials: No email/update

Today, I have replied again on the first confirmation email with my details.

Do I need to worry? Because, normally everyone is getting portal credentials in 1-2 days.

Is it because of my existing PR portal account??? While creating express entry profile, I had created PR portal account totally by mistake.
Does anyone have similar situation like me or know what should I do in this case???

Its possible, I read somewhere in the forum that if you already have a PR portal account they usually ask for a different email.
You might want to do some digging on that.

Me and my spouse both had our photos rejected yesterday for being "profile pictures". Confused by this, and they are definitely not profile picture and they fit all the guidelines lol. We have had new ones taken, reviewed and reuploaded. Any ideas on how long it takes for the IRCC to review new pictures?
Is it another long wait?

Hi All,

I received the PR approval letter via email yesterday. I'm still in Canada but have booked a flight to travel to India next week. I'll be coming back in the first week of April 2023. Can anyone please tell me how long can we wait before replying to that email and creating an account on the PR portal? Also, will my TRV become invalid once I receive my COPR if I am in Canada?

Once your COPR is received, none of your temporary resident documents are valid.

The PR approval letter itself says reply at earliest to avoid any delays. You have to choose between having further processing delays OR postponing your trip by a month or two until PR card is received.

Hey No need to worry at all about account. I created even before I got ITA. They will just create a file in that account. Soon they will email you that a file has been created on account.

Hey Guys, I got a 3rd Ghost update yesterday morning and IRCC confirmed that everything has been completed and that the final decision is just pending. Do you know how long (approximately) it take to get the portal email?

that’s right. Portal will only have inland applicant as it is meant for virtually landing the inland applicant. The Outland applicant will have an in person landing process at the airport of landing.

Once eCOPR is received, TRV is no longer valid. I would suggest holding off on the PR portal until you’ve returned from India.

If you don’t, and the eCOPR is issued while you’re there, you won’t be able to reenter to Canada without the PR card (which is taking well over a month to receive, dependent on VO). You could apply for a permanent resident travel document once in India, but I’ve read somewhere in the forum it could take up to 6 weeks to receive.

Thanks a lot for clarifying my doubts. This is really helpful. Do you know if there is a time window within which one needs to reply to that email or can that be done at any time of my choosing? I'm just worried whether there would be an issue if I don't respond to that email for a month.
