One of my friend from community renew his pr card he got it in oct 2022 still in his account its purple submitted. When he create the application and upload all documents it was green.

I know its hard to believe but based on details I have its true.

Unless there’s a legend somewhere on the IRCC website explaining the colours, this is a theory and not a fact.

Wouldn’t read too much into it, as others have said it’s a system update.

So, I used photoshop to increase the brightness a bit. Now one of my friends said they may reject the photo if it is edited. I am really confused and worried.. What do you guys think?

don't edit photos. just get it done by a professional. I'm not sure whether they do it or not. but the details of the photo can be traced from the properties and that probably is the reason why they ask if it is done by a professional or not. we have made it this far. 15 - 20 dollars is worth the opportunity cost/risk.
