I see no reason for cec only for now even though I hope there will be as I'm close to it, but that would be the best-case scenario, most likely it could be another suspension before noc based draw just like what they did in the past to only maintain pnp draws
As someone who didn't get my ITA during 11th and 17th January draw despite having updated/submitted profile due to IRCC's internal glitches, this just depresses me so much. Freaking IRCC kept on giving me copy and paste answers for my webforms (that they're "looking into" the issue). And now that I have withdrew and made a new profile with a new email, now they're planning to pause the draws again. This is like a knife to the heart really. Let's just hope there is at least one more draw before the pause.

Hybrid can mean many things. 4 days a week in the office is hybrid. 2 days are hybrid too but there is a huge difference between them.
4 days work plus 1 day wfh is a scam. 2 days in office or 1 day in office is still a thing here.!!!

Chill, there is a chance the no program draw happens tomorrow. Look at past trends, this has happened before.
Do you have the draw number that an all program draw happens after a PNP draw?

Are we all going to ignore @GandiBaat casually dropped the helicopter fare thing there?
:eek::D
Well, if I look it from his perspective its like this : I can take a ferry (which is super cheap, like $20 cheap) but then I will be out of commission for about 3-4 working hours. So helijet is best option. I start at 8, in the office at 9 and spend rest of the day in meetings and then come back. Usually those days have nothing but meetings after meetings. "Splurging" 250 or so dollars once a month on travel is not that expensive. Plus I am bloody sure they get consolidated discount because booking is done via a travel corporation.

This was normal in pre-pandemic days. Any half way decent company used to give this option.
Its a regular job and not a remote job.

It's not like housing market will be corrected with CEC only lol. There are bunch of students that show up every year; there is also target numbers that if summed result in 500K people per year. Having CEC only for couple of draws won't correct the market. It's a bigger and deeper issue and unfortunately, there is no way out of it for now.
Plus WorkPermits and StudyPermits have no limits.

Yeah l just looked at the trend it’s usually CEC but l think the points for CEC will still be very high..
Unlikely. It may end up skipping altogether this time.

In Canada for a month now, where are the “skilled” jobs which required me to come here? lool… what a freaking joke.

I only see bottom of the food chain jobs and even that I am sure many overqualified immigrants, like myself, are fighting over.

This thread helped me a lot and I took the posts of some individuals, those who didn’t paint the sky green, here seriously which is why I secured a remote job with my former employer before relocating here. At least financially, I am almost secured. I am looking for a job here purely for psychological and taxation reasons.

Those of you who are on the way, be very realistic and ensure you prepare very carefully. Menial jobs with extremely expensive cost of living is what awaits. Rent is just damn crazy. Forget about owning the house. Don’t be a fool. Prepare well. Stay 3 years for the passport and GTFO. At least that’s my plan.

That's true, you have to be talented to secure a skilled job in Canada.

When Kangaroo was saying all of that, he was getting ton of hate from others. I guess those "others" moved to Canada and realized that he was right all along.

That's my plan as well. That's the plan of 99% of people I have met so far. Those who don't plan to go back are the ones who have nothing back home.

You might be trolling but in a sense, you are right. Canada has the hardest tech. interviews I have ever seen. Uber interview that I passed for a position in Netherlands was 10 times easier than the one I had to take in Canada. Same position, same seniority.

Canada doesn't need skilled people. They need Tim Hortons employees. They need immigrants to keep wages down. High COL will push immigrants to accept any salary that is offered to them and say "thank you'.

yeah i recently got an interview request from a rideshare company. they sent the interview format in an email. 3 rounds of leetcode style plus another two rounds of behavioral plus a final VP discussion. I told them i dont do leetcode style interviews and withdrew. great pay though.
