Hey there, I got my PGWP on June 2021. However, I was able to find a NOC B job by Feb 2022. On April 2022, they announced about the PGWP extension. So, I applied for a open work permit on May 29, 2022 and I still continued working in the same job. My employers lawyer also verified this information and let me continue. On first week of August the PGWP extension portal was officially announced. And I reapplied a new application just to be safe.
Most of the people who submited just one application before the rule was official got their work permit extension approved. But my 1st application got rejected in Oct 2022.
However, I'm still working and I have accumulated more than 1560 hours. And my express entry stands at 498 right now.
My concern is will my hours be valid if I get ITA within the next 2 draws?

So you were rejected in October but you still have a valid PGWP and if so, until when?

I applied twice.
One before the PGWP extension rule was official _ May 29 (got rejected - asking me to apply for LMIA) Although I clearly mentioned that I'm applying based on the new PGWP extension rule.
The Other one after the rule was official - Sep 29 (Review not started)

And your PGWP was still valid on sep 29 when you submitted your application? If so, you should have maintained status and your job experience should count.

So you have a valid PGWP or not?

Note that you can only claim a year of work experience once you hae 52 separate weeks where you worked at least 30 hours. It's not enough just to have the 1560 hours. So the earliest you can claim the 1 year will be sometime in Feb. You can accept ITA before that. However you don't want to submit your full application post ITA until you have the full year.

My work hours is 40 hours a week. My HR has already provided me with a letter stating that I have worked more than 1683 hours. Also, Feb 2 would be my complete 1 year. I doubt that I would get the ITA based on current points. 1 year should be complete by the time I get ITA. Which could be Feb 8 or Feb 22

2021 - 2022. Already expired. We r in 2023 right now.
But when did your permit expire in 2022? If you have one year, and also meet the number of hours for your work experience while on your valid PGWP you can count Canadian work experience.

1st PGWP - June 3, 2021 | Got expired - June 2, 2022

NOC B job - Feb 2, 2022 till present with 1683 hours.

Applied for open work permit - May 29, 2022 to maintain legal status, followed by Another application on Sep 29, 2022 after the PGWP rule was official.

The May 29 application was rejected on Oct 30th.

I'm sorry if this sounds so confusing.

Did you get an email on September 29 to say you could work? And when you applied on September 29, you applied to restore your status too?
