Update: I received confirmation that I will be rescheduled for the in-person oath on the 6th. Guess I might see you in-person @savj ;)

And alas, the final tale of the tape for my citizenship application:

Citizenship Application Status
CPC:
Toronto; Type: Single; PPD: 1115;
Sent: Oct 06, 2020; Delivered: Oct 09, 2020; AOR: Jan 28, 2021;
IP: Feb 23, 2021;
Test: Feb 27, 2022;
PP RQ: May 06, 2022;
Interview: Jul 14, 2022;
DM: Nov 22, 2022;
Oath Letter: Nov 30, 2022
Oath: Jan 06, 2023

This means the full process has taken 2 years, 2 months, 26 days. The timeline given was 12 months back in October 2020.

If I have any advice to offer myself back when I started my 5 year journey of dealing with the IRCC as a complex applicant (during both PR Card + Citizenship), it would be this one: everything is possible to those who persist and I should NOT take no for an answer. I should persist by calling/e-mailing my MP till they help; persist by calling IRCC for updates; persist by submitting frequent Webforms for updates; persist by submitting frequent ATIP requests. If all else fails and the file has exceeded the normal processing time, I should consider seeking a Writ of Mandamus as this seems to get IRCC working on the file no matter the complexity.

While it seems like the whole system is out to get you, it only takes that one wonderful, empathetic soul to make the world of a difference. And one can only find them by persisting.
wonderful congratulations

Good morning,

I wanted to share an update that I saw this morning, December 1st.
my application now shows language, prohibitions, and physical presence as “completed”. The date for that is November 29th, but it didn’t show that for me until just this morning. I check daily.

Now, I have all parts of my application as “completed” except for citizenship ceremony. It is “not started” status.
Please let me know how long have some of you waited for oath ceremony email invite after your prohibitions, lang, and physical presence were “completed”.

Thank you.

Here’s my timeline:
  • Online Application completed/submitted: December 16, 2021
    - AOR: Feb 22, 2022
  • Background completed: August 31, 2022
  • Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress: September 2, 2022
  • Scheduled for citizenship test: September 9, 2022 (they gave me a window of time to complete test, Sept 9-Sept 29)
  • Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed: September 28, 2022 (I took test on September 27, 2022)
  • Language skills, physical presence, prohibitions updated to completed: November 29, 2022, however update posted on December 1, 2022
  • Citizenship ceremony: not started
Congratulations finally an update
Did you contact them by any way or just happened

Anyone here receive an in person interview for Dec 15. What should I expect. Is it possible to get oath done at the same time? do they allow family members inside?

@karem abd: Thank you! I did reach out to IRCC this week via phone calls but wasn’t successful because an automated message stated that they had high volume of phone calls and to try later, or go to website. I only tried 3x per each call (and called on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week), but I read here that if one tries at least 8x per call, one can actually get through and speak with an agent. I did email IRCC on Tuesday this week (oath ceremony email address) and they replied that I wasn’t scheduled for my oath ceremony yet and to check my email regularly. Then yesterday, December 1st, I had my lpp updated to completed.
Take care and keep us updated as well!

Hi, I had an interview yesterday. Just want to share my interview experience.

The officer didn't ask much except the last time I entered Canada, whether I'm currently employed and he verified the dates on my passport. He also exporessed that he has no concerns regarding my application. He took a copy of the doctor's letters and said he will make a note on my file requesting to expedite my oath ceremony though he clarified that it was not directly up to him to schedule the oath ceremony date. So he said hopefully, I should get an update on my oath ceremony date within 2 weeks.

My old Ecas account says Decision Made but the online tracker isn't updated yet. Does anyone know how long does it take for the online tracker to show LPP as completed?

Now fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Within 2-3 business days after the interview usually the new tracker gets updated. Good luck for your oath ceremony. I am waiting for my email for oath.

Congratulations.
I have almost the same timeline as you but only test and background verification completed. No movement since Sep.27. So you think your email to Scarborough office may have helped?
@summerxx: hi, I’m not certain whether it helped me or not, but I do find it a great coincidence that I emailed them on November 29th and then I see an update on my online tracker that on the 29th they updated my prohibitions, physical presence, and language to ‘completed’. I was checking my application status on the 29th, 30, and nothing was updated… I saw my updates on December 1st (visible to me), with the indication that ppl was updated on November29th. It likely did not hurt my application to email them. We can only try and see if it helps. Take care.

It's been 3 months since my "Background Verification" and "Test" were marked as completed. No updates/additional document request/interview after this. I am a December 2021 applicant. Anybody else in a similar situation?

What's the average processing time between "Test Completed" and "Decision made" (IRCC Scarborough)?

I'm a December 2021 applicant too. My test was marked complete October 3rd, background check was already done at that point, marked complete September 8th.
I know the silence is difficult, but I think it's normal, and it may even be normal to wait several more months for the next update...

I am a Nov 2021 applicant and my last update was Aug 16th "test Completed" (rest of the details in Signature). The general processing time on website says we will hear regarding Oath 3-4 months after test is marked complete, but I think it is no longer the case sadly. All we can do is wait...
