What's the actual job offer? What is the job? You must have recieved an email that outlines the job duties, job description / title, etc. This was part of the message I got initially when we began this process.
I just thought I let you know that I have not forgotten you and your family. Just a little info, please read below:
LMIA is short for Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). LMIA is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker.
In summary, an LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job. It will also show that no Canadian worker or permanent resident is available to do the job. A positive LMIA is sometimes called a confirmation letter.
An employer has to apply for an LMIA for foreign workers. Once an employer gets the LMIA, the worker can apply for a work permit.
This is what happens during stage1 of your visa processing with my immigration group, and that is why it takes 3-4months.
To apply for a work permit, the documents needed are:
a contract
job offer
a copy of the LMIA, and
the LMIA number
Not to worry, all of this is being sorted out for you. Just sit back, relax, and expect god news from us. We will soon send a mail calling you for medicals and biometrics.
Did the employer interview you? Do you know the name of the employer in Canada (i.e. company / business name)?
