I landed in Canada and became a PR on 26th Oct. At the time of landing, I did not provide a Canadian address. Later I got help from my friend in Canada and I used his address. I submitted the Webform, on 3th Nov. I got an instant auto reply email, but nothing else and it has been 12 days. Is this normal? For address update, should I expect a real-person reply from IRCC as acknowledgement? (I am concerned if they really got my update)

Almost nothing from IRCC would result in an answer in less than two weeks, a month would be quick. When you landed, did you discuss this with the border officer who landed you?

I don't know of a way to check in the meantime - I understand that there may be a way to check in one of the electronic systems what the status is, but I doubt it is designed for your specific circumstance.

You could call IRCC or try through MP's office. Calling requires waiting on hold quite a lot. Seriously doubt MP's office could do much before at least a month. Call centre may or may not know how to check about the card.

Last I heard timeframe for these was up to 90-100 days, and that's for those who gave address on landing.

Not much you can do especially so soon after adding an address. YouDo ‘t get confirmation that your change of address has been received. All you can really do is be patient. Expect to wait 4-5 months to receive your PR card.

Yes, I know the PR card thing will take for a while in terms of months. But what I am concerned is whether IRCC got my update, I am not in a hurry to get the card ASAP

When I landed, I honestly told the officer I was doing soft landing. She then asked if I have address of any friend/relative in Canada. I said no, because at the time of landing I had not yet asked if they are willing to help. The officer then put my overseas address in the system and told me to update the address later when I have a Canadian address. (there is a website written in brochure given to new PR)

About a week later I have a Canadian address of my friend and I tried to update my address via the website on the brochure, but failed because it does not have my record, probably because it has not yet been updated. However, I managed to link my Express Entry profile with PR card application (this system has my record).

Because the website on the brochure does not work, I update my address via Web Form.

All correct but since you didn't have an address on arrival, no idea when/what will happen next. Again, 3-4 months would be normal even if you had given address on landing.

Since you informed that you didn't have address and were doing soft landing, it's possible it won't be prepared at all (some border officers don't offer like yours did, so there seems to be a way for them to not start the PR card issuance process). That's partly why I was asking if the officer said anything about the PR card issuance later (apart from telling you to update the address).

IRCC did respond to Web Form change of address request. Today, I got their response email with following excerpt

I made my Web Form request on 3rd Nov, i.e. it took 23 days for response email.
