That's exactly what I've done - I'm in my late 30s, Masters degree, maxed out IELTS so I had no other option. It took me 10 months from complete 0 to to passing TCF (I even got C1 and C2 in a couple of categories). I'm certainly not talented when it comes to learning languages. Yes, English is my second language but I've been learning it since I was 7 and I've been living in the UK for 17 years so it would be rather impressive if I didn't learn it ;)
It took me 2.5 hours per day, every single day (literally) for 10 months, so it was a big effort but it can be done. Due to my age my score was around 440 so I knew I had no other option :)
I may keep learning french to get B2plus in each skill! Its our only hope! In my recent exam tef, I guess i will get B2 (our crs would be 487)

Yeah, that's what I needed - B2+ in each skill to get extra 50 points. If you're already at B2 level, getting to B2+ is quite easy. You've probably done it already but just practicing a LOT of exam papers may be enough to get you there. Especially as a lot of questions and tests often repeat. Either exactly (comprehension orale et ecrite) or are very similar (production orale et ecrite).

In TEF , in section comprehension ecrite, about 10 questions were repeated
But none in comprehension orale
. I may get b2 plus in comprehension ecrite and expression ecrite
But not in the two other skills.

We will be 487 in next few days( i guess i will get b2 in TEF which I took last week)
I really hope bill c19 doesnt come very soon! Not before March at least . In the memo it was mentioned that it will be implemented in post spring
If you have CLB 9 in English and CLB 7 in French, no matter what happens next year, your way to Canada is already paved.

Good luck !

I hope you get NCLC7 in all skills sooner rather than later. Having said that, as a backup, consider applying for SINP and NB provincial programs because both of them give significant points for french (from NCLC5 onwards). That way, you can have some fall back option till you get the 50 points bonus or a direct invite.

I miss the old mushy.

Inb4 mushy says he is not optimist or pessimist but a realist.
You can put all the cringey titles on it that you want. I'm just calling it like I see it. Sometimes I'm wrong, sometimes I'm right.

But hey, if you want, I can mention how bad their website is, but that one guy might show up again. And nobody wants that.

Thanks for giving your opinion. The only way I can increase my score is by learning French from 0, that would take at least 1 year (being optimistic). I will have a deep look into every PNP option but yeah, we can’t predict, fingers crossed the draws come to 471 at some point next year…
Like @AndyUK said, it can be done within a year. It's not "easy" in the sense of the time you have to put into it, but the path from complete beginner to B2 is extremely simple. A2 and A2 are foundational, so you may take some time. But realize that the jump from A2 to B1 is pretty big, and B1 to B2 again is pretty big. It'll seem tough while you're studying it, but a few hours a day for 7-8 months should get you damn close to B2, if not C1 (on paper, not a true C1).

Yep, 100% this.
I would only add that around 4-8 weeks before the exam just keep practicing doing exam papers - you can find a lot of them online (some free, others you need to pay for). This can easily bump you up from B2 to B2+/C1 (like mushymush said above - on paper, but still - that's what you need).
