Hey folks,
I am a PGP 2022 applicant and this is just to pre-empt any additional documents that IRCC might request.
I applied for my parents and submitted my birth certificate. I don't have my voter id or aadhar card and cannot get one as I am a Canadian citizen.

Just want to get an idea if voter id or aadhar card from sponsor or parent's side might be requested by IRCC in future?

As I don't have aadhar card or voter id, what will be the alternative for me?
Hi - Yes, they would request those documents in the due course as a proof of sponsor relationship to the applicant. I had Aadhar card, however no voter id card. I provided details of all school certificates, graduation, birth certificate. Their marriage certificate also included childerns name as I got them do the marriage registration done last year for PR purposes. I also provided copy of OCI which included fathers name. Just write in the cover note, you dont have those and instead providing all the below as proof of relationship.

Good Morning All,
I received an information letter this morning after Pre-arrival on 2nd Nov - The letter says below:

Please review your contact details above and advise us of any errors or updates. The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform our CPC Mississauga office immediately via the IRCC Web Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp with details concerning your situation.

STEP 1: Change in Circumstances:
Should any of the following circumstances apply to you or any accompanying family member, you must inform this office immediately:
- Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment or death of spouse;
- Change in family composition, for example due to adoption or birth of a child, including a child born to your accompanying dependent child,
- Death of principal applicant, spouse, accompanying children, or death of sponsoring relative;
- Change in health;
- You or any of your accompanying family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence
- Change in contact information: mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number.

Your failure to inform us of any of these changes may result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa and may render you and your accompanying family members inadmissible to Canada. In addition, failure to declare all of your family members, accompanying or not, will permanently exclude them from sponsorship under the Family Class regulations

STEP 2: Passport Requirements – Determine if you need to submit your passport(s)

Since none of the circumstances in STEP 1 applies, can someone please let me know if I need to send any response to CIC or this is just a formal process? When can I expect PPR/COPR.

Thanks for your inputs in advance.
This sounds a lot like my PPR email from 5 years ago for Express Entry.
What is the subject of the email?

Hello Everyone,

My parents sponsorship application is at the final stage having submitted the PCC/additional documents on Sept 29th,2022.
I am assuming they might receive the virtual landing/PPR request sometime around end of Feb 2023.

I was hoping to complete Virtual Landing for their PR instead of Passport submission/Visa stamping Route.
They are currently visiting me in Canada but would be completing 6 months stay on visitor visa in December.

I wanted to check if it is safe to extend their stay in Canada by applying for an extention (Visitor Record).
Do you think it would adversely impact their PR sponsorship application as they would extend their stay on visitor visa beyond 6 months?

Thanks for all your help!!

I also received the same letter on GCKey account just now after receiving pre-arrival on Nov 5, seems like we both are in the same boat. Since my parents are already in Canada, I sent a webform to update the current address. I already submitted a webform earlier (back in September 2022) when they landed in Canada yet no response on the webform since then.

Sounds good, thanks a lot for sharing this information.

Just to be clear, aadhar card/voter id/school documents etc would be requested from the sponsor and not from the parents, is that correct?

Correct. It is to prove the relationship of the Sponsor with the Principal Applicant.

You are welcome. If you can, submit the passport to VFS. Don't do virtual landing. We got the virtual landing link 2 days ago - 3 months after we received the PPR and sent in multiple webforms to request a virtual landing link. After declaring and submitting photos for PR cards, it is a waiting game again to get our eCOPR. I read somewhere in another thread - some ppl had to wait 7 - 8 weeks just to receive the eCOPR!

That's actually much better! Yeah the virtual landing process is very frustrating. A case officer needs to review whether we have declared we are currently in Canada so that the eCOPR can be issued. That single step took 7 - 8 weeks for someone @@.
