Hello friends need your advise again. My mom applied for temporary resident visa online in March 2020 which was pending all these years due to pandemic closures. As I mentioned earlier, we got invited for pgp on September 2021 and got everything done; currently waiting for pre arrival or passport request.
My question is my mom got a original passport request in her gckey for her temporary resident visa on October 26. Should I contact IRCC regarding this application with an explanation letter?

when we applied for pr, I read in guide somewhere that Ircc will automatically cancel any irrelevant application but looks like that’s not the case. Can I state the visa application number and say we have a pr application in progress and do not need the Temporary resident visa at this time? Or submit the original passport just for my mom as requested and then proceed for both mom and dad when we receive the PPR? My mom is the principal applicant for PR that’s why I am hesitant to submit her passport for temporary visa now. Has anyone of you been in a similar situation? Thank you for your valuable input.

Please can any help me with this situation? Is it possible to withdraw the TRV now? If so how should I do it?

Friends, Super Weird thing happened.

File has been moved from Mississauga office to Vancouver office. We live in Mississauga region.

Almost every thing is done and we were waiting for last steps.

Bio-Metric : March 11
Medical Passed : May 25
PCC and Additional documents in July 2022
Sponsor Approval letter : Aug 2022

I understand that Vancouver office is very slow. Do think this will delay by couple of months ?

Anybody else on the same boat?

I got same email saying file moved from missisuaga to Vancouver and i have exact same timeline as yours…I don’t know why did they do this

I just crossed checked its on July 7. stating --"We have verified the information you provided and want to thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the delay in answering your enquiry. We would like to confirm that the information found in your online account is the most up-to-date, so no additional information can be provided by the Client Support Centre agents. "

I live in GTA and my file was forwarded to Vancouver office on Sep 28th. Applied 01 Oct 21. After reading the Vancouver office processing trends, i do not see my file moving anytime soon !! All the best to all in same boat.

Should I do anything ?
what is the next steps ?

Anyone who received PPR, could you please confirm if the below status is normal? Most of the items are still in progress.

I am worried because I had earlier requested for virtual landing (via webform), since my parents were travelling to Canada this week. But later on, we decided to delay the travel and get passport stamped in India itself. Now I don't want them to action on the webform I have raised. Hoping the passports get stamped even before IRCC reviews the webform (On an average its taking ~2 weeks to get the passport back).

I received PPR on 1st Nov and submitted passports to VFS on 4th Nov, and the documents are with IRCC New Delhi as of 7th Nov 2022.

Review of eligibility

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results

• May 29, 2022 You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents

• Not applicable.

Interview

• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics

• We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Hello Everyone, i received phone call last Friday from immigration. i first thought it could be a fraud call but it was not. they confirmed application no and other details.a lady on the phone told me that we have not submitted the requested form and our deadline for that is approaching. it seems unusual to me to get call from them and our deadline is November 19 because they requested that form on October 19 via email. Are they in rush to finalise our application ? Did anyone else received any call ?

Hey, I am confused if they are coming to Canada, then they can complete the landing at the airport. Were you able to explore this option?

After passport request and visa , how long my parent has time for landing?
Should he land before medical get expired ? (1 Year)
He did his medical on May 2021.
