I applied December 2020 and got a temporary AOR in January 2021. Nothing for more than a year and then I get emails containing all of our scanned documents this month. Hoping to get our permanent AOR soon.

I wish things would pick up for everyone in this stream. We've been waiting in limbo for too long!

Great news. Did they ask for anything?

Wow encouraging.... They send you the documents from themselves or you asked for them.

No but weirdly, they called me! I think it was on the day they sent the emails or a day after. It was just an automated voice recording that basically said I wasn't replying to their correspondence, but they never asked me to email them back--so why even tell me that, right? I called them back right after I got the call, but then remembered that it was a federal holiday here in Canada so the call center was closed. I called them again the following Monday but I kept getting a message that I was in a long queue in the call. I couldn't really wait around for an hour so I hung up after 30 minutes of waiting. I tried again for several days in a row but I was still getting that voice prompt that said I was in line and their agents were busy, etc.

I did end up emailing them about 2 weeks ago at the ATIP email add but haven't had a response yet.

They sent it to me out of the blue. Every page of all the application forms that we filled out, all the Proof of Relevant Experience I wrote, police clearance, client contracts, etc., etc. As in everything. They were all scanned and attached to the emails. There was so many pages that it took them 3 different emails to send me everything.

Didn‘t you request the GCMS notes and files last year?

Hi,

My passport is expired earlier this year and address is changed from original. We are getting a new one right now. I was in Canada when I applied but now in India. I have few questions if you guys could help.

1) We have temporary UCI from Jan last year, what is the email ID am I suppose to send the details to update?

2) Our application had reached Sydney NS on 1 Oct 2020, could expired passport be a reason that they are not making any progress on our application? Reason I ask this as I saw someone application had reached in Dec 2020 and their application is progressing and not ours?

Any other suggestions or info

Thanks in advance.

When our passports we about to expire they send ADR saying that we have to renew our passports and send them a copy. Don't worry they will send permanent file number and ADR at the same time. So my advice is to renew your passports and either wait for the ADR, or send them via webform.

I've been occasionally checking the forum for other applicants' timelines. It helps me to ease my nerve while waiting. Since I've just received my own COPR, I would like to share my timeline with the one who is still anxiously waiting for the result.

06 Jan 2020: Application delivered to IRCC Office
13 Jan 2020: AOR received
Endless time of waiting........
07 Feb 2022: Request letter received
18 Aug 2022: Pre-arrival service letter received
23 Aug 2022: MER (Medical Examination Request) received. Another request letter received on the same day.
02 Sep 2022: Medical Examination attended.
22 Sep 2022: MER passed (updated on GCKey account)
26 Sep 2022: Background check completed (updated on GCKey account)
05 Oct 2022: Request letter on passport delivery for visa
20 Oct 2022: Application is approved (Updated on GCKey account)
28 Oct 2022: Passport with visa and COPR (printed paper) received

It is approximately 33 months of waiting in my case, and I believe it varies accordingly to different applications. My suggestion is to focus on your life and work at hand, and keep bettering yourself during the process. You will get it.

BTW, anyone knows any forums or online groups dealing with discussions and information that we new immigrants will inevitably face? Thank you.
