Does anyone know when they gonna be start sending the invitations ?
Excerpt from the notice read as below - so, in theory, we might get email from today onwards till Oct 21.

This week, IRCC will begin sending invitations to apply to 23,100 interested potential sponsors—enough to make sure we receive our goal of 15,000 applications. Invitations will be sent over the course of 2 weeks.

So your interest to sponsor was submitted in 2020? If so, IRCC randomly selects applications not emails.

Question : did he send you a confirmation number that he received after he submitted the interest ,if yes this will be your reference to start with .and if so you can check it online later once all the random selection is done ,to verify if you are selected or no .

Thank you!
Still not a great chance but better than nothing I suppose...

In summary & unverified:
~203,000 interest forms received - 13,400 invitations sent in Jan/2021 - 34,500 invitations sent in Oct/2021 = 155,100 'forms' left in pool.
CIC will be inviting 23,100 this year (2022) so chances of getting selected would be 14.89% :(:(

EDIT:

Actually IRCC did state they will be inviting people from remaining pool of 155,313 potential sponsors who submitted interest in 2020.

So these numbers are highly likely to be correct. As per this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/sponsor-parents-grandparents/selected.html

It reads as below

"For the 2022 process, we’ll invite potential sponsors from the remaining pool of 155,313 potential sponsors who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020.

We’ll send 23,100 invitations to apply to help us reach our goal of accepting up to 15,000 complete applications."

Looks like it’s still early, if someone remembers the pattern from last time on how they were sending out the invites and don’t mind sharing! Please do.

That's just a high level of nonsense and bs from IRCC. I didn't submit my interest in 2020 because I was lacking one year of proper earnings and decided to submit my interest in 2021 but because IRCC never opened this form I now missed 2020, 2021 and 2022 pools! WTF is that? I should have just lied back in 2020
You would have been denied so that wouldn’t have helped.

No. most likely he wouldn't be denied if the person lied and is selected for this year! They are going to look for the past three years income whenever they start processing and the rules don't mention that IRCC is going to look for the past 5 years of income.
