Ghost updates new Tracker

We have applied for my parents' visitor visa in August 2021 and it has been over a year that there is no update in GCkey. We have requested an update 2-3 times via the IRCC web portal but they just keep mentioning it is under process.

If anyone faced this type of situation or has any suggestions that might give a result, please feel free to offer your advice. Is there any way to appoint an agent to get information about the visa and where this is at to have this process going?

Note: My parents visited Canada before in 2016 too. That's why, I do not understand the reason why it is taking so long.

Should we re-apply? Will that help?

yeah I have been struggling to find people on the forums with Beirut as a VO, so I did a quick analysis on Beirut VO from the online Excel tracker; There were only maybe 5-6 applicants and most, if not all, didn't update their entries in a long time. I have heard the office is slow but fingers crossed they at least get the eligibility done soon

Same here. Was trying to find anything to have a general overview of Beirut VO timeline with no luck.. Hopefully our applications gets finalized the soonest.

Same here, Beirut Visa Office, so far my application is touching its 12 month mark with nothing but ghost updates on the PR tracker, eligibility in progress and Background check hasn't started yet. Beirut Visa Office is known to be slow since they are processing Applications for Syrians as well, sometimes applications are transferred to Ankara which is also slow. I'm hoping to hear something soon since this is very life crippling, specially with whats happening in lebanon. its one thing to wait on a long distance relation and another thing when your significant other is living with no electricity and can barely connect a whatsapp call with the internet connection over there. all the best to the Lebanese applicants that are waiting

Yea, pretty much in the same situation as you. About to hit 12 Month mark next week and our application is also being processed in Beirut VO. the anxiety from this waiting basically sucked happiness out of my life. my representative gave me hope of 8 month. but when i researched (based on People from the Forum) i saw on average of 14 to 15 month for Beirut Visa office to finalize an application. if i knew that from the beginning i would've started with a TRV then switch to a PR. that being said, every application is different than the other so fingers crossed we all hear something soon.

You will definitely hear positive news before 12 months.... that's what it says 80% applications are completed within 12 mos. Stay positive and don't loose hope.
