Hello everyone,
There was a new line added to Ecas status saying “Medical results have been received”. Does anyone know what this means? In Mycic it is saying “We are reviewing the medical results”.
Thank you! Should we start expecting PPR at the point?

Hi everyone,
I'm truly hoping someone can help me with my questions!
My mom is PA, she is in Canada, my dad is in India. they got their PPR in April 2022. we asked for virtual landing for mom and PPR for dad, as per the PPR letter. ecas status showed, Decision made. after completing virtual landing portal information.
2 weeks after, ecas status changed to in-progress back and they requested background information and police record document for my dad. we submitted those document and now it has been 4 months and nothing from them. I have filled webform and emailed them but no response.
My questions are:
1. Did this happen to anyone else?
2. What could be my next steps, GCMS Notes?
3. Any potential reason why application went back to in-progress?
4. How long can I wait before asking for status via Webform?
5. Any other steps that I can take, i.e. contact local MP?
I feel like application has now fallen out of normal PR processing within CIC, and now it probably is sitting in some blackhole!

I am sponsoring my parents under PGP and applied in May 2019. My father is the PA. Today I have received a medical request email from CIC. They are also asking for a new NBI clearance valid within 6 months, and an updated IM5669 form. My parents are both in Canada right now with valid TRV. I have scheduled them to see a panel physician to do their medical exam on September 12, 2022. I just have a concern with their NBI clearance request as it has a "No Criminal Record" remarks.
As per the letter from CIC;
If the NBI Clearance shows any of the following remarks: Record as Stated, No Criminal Record, or No
Pending Case, you must also submit:
Certification issued by the NBI outlining all criminal charges/cases including the description of
the charge, date when the charge was filed and the disposition of the charge (you may present this
letter to the NBI when securing the certification);
Own written detailed account of circumstances surrounding and leading up to the criminal charges
listed on the NBI certification;
Regardless if case is dismissed or ongoing, all court documents relating to the criminal cases listed
which include but are not limited to police report/blotter, court transcripts, and court judgments.
It's a long story but we're thinking this is related to a rape case filed against my father in 2018. Someone was trying to extort money from him and set him up. His case went on trial in court where he appeared together with his lawyer. The plaintiff or any of her representatives never attended any of the hearings and the case was eventually dismissed a couple of months later due to lack of evidence.
Is there anyone here who had the same experience? How will this affect their application? and has anyone tried requesting for a NBI certification from within Canada?

@laxsun @Ketobaby others, why would they send this email "Permanent residence portal PR conformation" when parents in home country and allready submitted pp for visa stamping along with ppr letter four days back. Do every one get this email whether inland or outland. If this is mistake how to respond Tnx regards

Our application was received on 22 May 2019 and we had to complete 3 medicals and yes it is frustrating. Please be patient, I see that 2019 application are moving fast. You will get good news soon.
Please contact your local MP, it really helped me. my local MP assistant was following up with IRCC every two weeks for past 2-3 moths, I believe it really helped.
Ecas does not show we are reviewing your medicals only mycic does and they both mean exact what they say, we have received you medicals, we are reviewing the medical results
You should wait to see when mycic changes to medical passed on xyz date. After that they can ask for PCC, ADR and/or PP.
I recommend using excel print and sign. It should also include applicants name, UCI and a title (Travel history for ABJ CORA).

Hello guys! Just for the record purposes My parents who applied in 2019 have had their decision made and they received their passport request. Just an addition i got their medicals done in Oct and upfront medicals in august this year aswell.
