I am not claiming points but yes I am getting salary in the same bank account ( same in which I was getting previous company salary and also the one for my proof of funds! ) How to move ahead ? What should I do ?
Also, as far as I know, if I ll get an ITA, I ll have to mention even my current experience in the personal history section and the proprietor is my father only. I know that would become quite obvious ( only if they would pay any attention to this experience). So, the only question is would it be of any matter to them?
If you are not claiming points for your current job, IRCC doesn't care what job it is or who you work for. You only have to provide proof for the work experience you are claiming points for. You need to mention your current job or whatever you are currently doing in the Personal History part, and on a Schedule A form (if you are required to submit one)

Folks who did soft landing from US to Canada via Land, would you be allowed to stay for couple of days in Canada to apply for SIN and come back to US? Also, can we return to Canada via road from US permanently later (in a month) without PR card or PRTD?

It's hard being pre-ITA when some folks are already on PPR
No, its hard being pre-ITA after seeing all those mass invitations issued left and right in the last two years compared to these crumbs we are having right now.

They have insulted the term Federal High Skilled in so many levels it makes you angry beyond comprehension. Also, for me at least, becoming a die hard Conservative the moment I will set foot there.

Dont worry, upon your landing in Canada, girls will swarm you due to your HUGE CRS score.

You can come back to USA via AVR rule.
I think you will require a PR or PRTD after your soft landing to enter Canada again through US - CAN border.

Hello good people,

I have a question, is the tourist/visitor visa to TR still a thing? Let's say I go there to visit a friend, and I find a job, can I apply/switch to TR?
I received two different info, one person told me this pathway is valid till February 2023, and another said it's valid till Dec 2023. of course the source of their info is "trust me bro"
Since my application is "dead" in the best VO ever (Montreal) I'm trying to think of other alternatives.

Hi, i believe you might find your answer here:

I hope it helps.

Did you claim points for this job? Looks like you did. I think asking for pay slips is quite unusual with the reason provided as "proof of funds". My speculation is there is some inconsistency in your application and visa officer has doubts whether that was a real job or you faked it and he is trying to get alternate proof. Good thing is that he has not issued a procedural fairness letter so I guess he is not sure. Is it big company? Or is it family business kind of thing?

But why did you even claim points for something 8 years ago. The points max out at 3 years. Always a good idea to just use past 3 years for experience for precisely the same reason .. you may not have enough documents for ADR for older jobs.

If you don't have salary slips .. do you have older income tax filings and TDS slips from the job? Like T4 in Canada / Form 16 in India? If not, you need to write a LOE and keep it short and to the point and not write a life essay which gives more doubt to the officer.
Wait.. This is scaring me!!! I am going to be claiming points for my one year work experience from 2015 to 2016. I worked after that too but it was mostly NOC C jobs as I was doing my masters in Netherlands.

I will get my reference letter, my salary certificate (cuz I was paid in cash) and I still have a few payslips left too! But I don't have tax returns. I will cry if my PR gets rejected because of this after busting my behind for years learning French and getting a masters.

This work ex you're referring to, is it from your time in Netherlands or India? Even if you got paid in cash, if your employer actually hired you and it wans't an under-the-table transaction, they paid witholdig taxes on your salary and it's likely you can get information from the tax authorities about the witholding taxes you paid for that job...

It was in India. Backstory is that I used to study and work in Canada and couldn't get my PR due to EE being rehauled. My work ex in Canada was NOC C so no use of claiming points for it.

I came to India. Intentionally took a lower paying job in higher NOC code. I don't know if they will share the tax information with me. Indians in general are quite cagey when it comes to tax issues.

If I submit a letter of reference, my salary certificate certifying that I was paid in cash, plus a couple of salary slips that I still have, will that be enough? Or will they push for tax returns? Initially I thought it was okay because I have most documents but if I write an LOE, will that solve the issue?

They must have deducted TDS on your salary. You need to check your past Form 16A and past Form 26AS on the online portals of Income Tax Dept.

These are the portals:
https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login
https://www.tdscpc.gov.in/app/login.xhtml

You don't need cooperation from your employer at all. Register for an account at both portals (if you haven't already) and check the information the tax authorities have for the year you seek info for.

I see, thanks for response! I didn't know about it. I will check it once I find my salary slips.

In case there is nothing there, does that mean I'm screwed? Will this work be considered as non existing? I hope that's not the case because I specifically took that job because the duties were in NOC B.

Otherwise, I guess I would have to find another job but it would be such a shame to have that work experience go to waste because I was too naive to go through the details..

Hello,

EE-FSW-O.
ITA 03 Aug.
AOR 05 Aug.

In the balance certificate that I got from my bank, the banker mentioned all my accounts, their numbers, their dates of creation, address, number, signed, stamped, everything except a tiny thing.

In the current account and the savings account, he did not mention the type of currency (Algerian dinar), he just noted the exact amount in numbers, except for the foreign currency account, the banker expressed that it was in euros. (see photo, in french but you can understand)

On the other hand, in each 6-month account statement, it is clearly mentioned that the current account and savings are in Algerian dinars and of course, the exact same amount of money indicated in the balance certificate is present.
These documents have already been sent.

My question is, is this a problem? if yes, what should I do?

Thanks.
