just FYI, I received the email from IRCC for my Open Work Permit extension to 2024 Dec 31
Do you mean that you recently applied for the TR to PR 2024 OWP and received it? If so, how long did it take to get processed? Can you post your timeline?

No, according to the IRCC information on 2 August, if someone already have an OWP by this program, you don’t have to do anything, they will send the email and send a new OWP in October.
If you are recently applying a new OWP, I think it’s a different situation, I have no timeline for that.

just FYI, I received the email from IRCC for my Open Work Permit extension to 2024 Dec 31
Share this information details:

You are the holder of an open work permit that is valid to December 31, 2022, and issued under the temporary resident to permanent resident pathway public policy.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has determined that your permanent resident application might not be finalized by December 31, 2022. Therefore, we will revise the conditions on your existing work permit to allow you to work until December 31, 2024, while we finalize your permanent resident application.
In most cases, we will mail you a new work permit at your mailing address above. Please do not contact us unless any of the following conditions apply to you:
 You now reside outside of Canada,
 The address on this letter is incorrect, or
 You do not accept the offer of a longer work permit
If any of the three conditions above apply to you, you must let us know before August 19, 2022 at : IRCC.PermitExtension-ProlongationPermis.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Please write: "OPT OUT: Full name, date of birth (YYY/MM/DD) and UCI" in the subject line of your email.
Please note that you must be physically in Canada to be eligible for this work permit. If you are not physically present in Canada and do not let us know, it may be considered misrepresentation and you may be deemed inadmissible to Canada for a period of 5 years.
If you meet any of the conditions above but you still want a work permit, you must submit a full application by following these instructions: Temporary public policies: Open work permits for applicants under the temporary resident to permanent resident pathway
Please do not reply to this message or contact us at the email address below. This inbox is not monitored. If you email this address for any reason, you will be automatically removed from our list of applicants who are eligible to be mailed a new work permit. This will ensure that we can provide new work permits as fast as possible.
Sincerely,
IRCC

That is why I start to make document
I am trying to make form for open work permit under this pathway

IMM5710 form

How should I choose?

First page, I am applying for one or more following:
1. Apply for a work permit with same employer
2. Apply for a work permit for the first time or with a new employer
3. Restore my status as a worker(*definitely not)
4. Get a new temporary resident permit (for inadmissible applicant only)

I'm a currently PGWP but expire next February so I need to apply under this way
Please help
So if I remember, you need to select

1. Apply for a work permit with same employer.

Then at Name of Employer you will leave it blank since it is open work permit.

And at bottom in "My occupation in Canada will be:" "TRPR pathway PP OWP-EXT"

  • Box 1: What type of work permit are you applying for?
    • Select “Open Work Permit”.
  • Box 4: Job title and Brief description of duties
    • If this is your initialopen work permit under this public policy
      • Enter “TRPR pathway PP OWP” in the Job Title box.
    • If you’re extendingyour open work permit
      • Enter “TRPR pathway PP OWP-EXT” in the Job Title box.
    • Enter the name of the PR stream you applied under in the Brief description of dutiesbox. It must be one of the 6 streams listed below:
      • Workers in Canada: Health care
      • Workers in Canada: Essential non-health care
      • International graduates from a Canadian institution
      • French-speaking workers in Canada: Health care
      • French-speaking workers in Canada: Essential non-health care
      • French-speaking international graduates from a Canadian institution
      • International graduates from a Canadian institution (applications above the cap)
      • Applicants who used an alternative format (applications above the cap)

I applied before this policy, so in my documents I requested only until December 31st, 2022 (Maximum at time). Should I request an webform with this new expire date on my IMM5710e ? Or it will be mailed a new one when I receive the one with 2022?

so I applied recently in June (after new announcement of upto 31 Dec 2024). My passport is valid till 2025. So, I won't get this email right? I would just get my OWP till 31 Dec 2024 directly then?

Hi, I received ADR for new medicals for my dependent which he has completed. However, in the document section there is no option to upload the information receipt. Does anyone know how i can get this to IRCC before 13th August. Web forms are taking up to 2 months for response. @SmzAmir do you have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Hi all , there is a separate forum formed outside of this which is trying to see if specific officer is responsible for long processing times in their case. I have read what is going on in that forum and had concerns which I posted there. Since I think some people over there have read the CBC story with the laggard officer case they kind of intend to try that , but not all round things are balls we all know. I am reposting what I wrote there here too, in hope of avoiding rushed and unreasonable actions which may impact not only themselves but more people than that:

Hi all ,

I am still waiting for my notes to arrive, however reading the messages here I am a bit worried and have some piece of advice before anyone does unreasonable things like straightly jumping to news agencies and things like that.

1 - For any action to be efficient "correct and verified" data should be gathered. Just because some one here says his or her officer is officer number "xxxxx" does not mean it really is. We all know there might be people who think they will benefit from overall pressure on IRCC even if they dont have same situation. There could be such people who will fuel the fire. Any action needs to be taken by DOCUMENTED information not only claims in a forum.

2 - even if 50 or lots of people have the same officer, confidence needs to be made on the fact that a single officer is under performing. We dont know that. It might be a ministerial order or internal policy to prioritize other applications to TR to PR. In that case we will be confronting a whole big organization and will be responsible for wrong accusations in media, which will HEAVILY backfire.

3 - It is always a good idea to hire a immigration lawyer as a group, seek consultation and ask him/her to write a official letter to IRCC itself asking for explanations and answers. If nothing comes in a reasonable time period, media will be there.

4 - If a few people did get their case to media and got a result , it does not mean it will always be the case. Please note those people had cases open for 2+ and 3+ years in a time which there was no COVID staff and normal processing time was around 6 months. Most of us have not even reached 2 years yet. Blaming one specific officer will only make sense when majority of cases are finalized much sooner, which is not the case for TR to PR. Plz note 30,000 of applications will only be finalized in 2023 only. That means OUR applications are still not an anomaly. Be sure if they did not have legal basis they would not publicly and openly announcing 2023 as finalization year of TR to PR cases. Plz note that there is no processing time announced for TR to PR if you go to processing times page of IRCC. There is a reason for this, think about it.

5 - Be fair. a lot of my friends in other programs like EE and PNP are still waiting and nothing yet. They all applied sooner than all of us , in 2020. Many of PR people who applied for passport are still waiting for year+ . Lots of people I know who applied for travel visa from outside are still waiting around a year.

Dont get me wrong, I am not preaching any specific thing, I am in same shoes, applied May 6 2021 and still waiting, I also suffer every single day, but over all, I mean not doing a rushed and unreasonable action which will seriously backfire and make things even worse. It is very good to exchange info, have a high awareness and act on "reliable" basis.

We all suffer, but be fair, be reasonable, collect correct, dependable and verifiable data rather than mere claims, get expert and legal opinion before putting yourself in trouble, make sure there is right basis for any action you want to take, communicate in group to IRCC first and give them opportunity to explain or help before public exposure, and absolutely avoid targeting an officer if you are not sure delays are because of one specific officer's mis-handlings.

but this is my opinion after all.
