@stirredo do read about medical insurance part of my response that I added later.. I believe that the biggest pitfall for any first time visitor/new arrival.

Fortunately, i came across this when I was doing research for soft landing. I have already booked travellers insurance for my entire stay through manulife, which will cover my medical liability upto 50k CAD.

Wish me luck, man. I have my flight in the evening today. I have only seen the other side of the world through movies and tv show and have no idea what to expect.

This brader will be stepping out of his country for the first time, straight into Canada.

Thank you so much for answering my questions in great detail.

Hey everyone. I received the passport request on June 24! You can find the details on my signature.

Quick question: In the request letter, I am asked to provide my height and eye color along with my passport and two photos. I entered my eye color as blue in the eAPR forms but most people says it is actually green. My eyes go from green to blue sometimes and when I ask people I get different answers. I asked to the doctor during the medical assessment on Dec 2020 and she said she thinks it is blue so I entered blue on the eAPR forms. Statistically more people say it is green. Do you think I should simply go with the blue again on the Appendix B - Height and Eye Colour Chart or change to green ? I know it sounds like a silly question but it confuses me a lot :D

@PRANIT01 @ImpatientAlligator @wonderbly
Is it necessary to declare goods accompanying list at the airport?
Bro ,I can't answer that question even stirredo asked me the same they did some crazy,they never asked me for anything and when I said I have goods to follow they said as it is from us that don't care.
But I was okay either way I have only 52 books which cost max 5200$ 5% gst 260$ so I didn't care much.

If I am doing that course I will do it from a university in canada and not a college but a university.
Honestly your experience matters the most here followed by degrees.If it is a degree usually especially if she is changing the field they mostly won't accept indian credentials and more over she will get a chance to network and employers are familiar with the university.
But I won't recommend a college, not to hurt anyone's feelings but the quality of education offered their and the students (majority) are garbage which I meant they don't have even basic skills to do the job,they are nice people but unfortunately they are not employable with their coursework and the current level of knowledge.

Did you tell the customs checkpoint that you have good to declare? I've heard of and also saw them just whizzing people by without checking the immigration slip properly.

My parents will be sending some of my stuff that I could not fit into my luggage, it's not valuable stuff though just some sketchbooks, books, colours etc. Do I need to declare these as well?
Declare everything - there is no harm in doing so. You don't have to be too specific - just saying something like 'notebook - 10 units' along with a value should be enough.

Else, you may have to pay taxes/duties later.

Your eyes are blue. Don't complicate things for no reason.
