It's been almost 7 months now since I completed my test and no update since then. I called IRCC and luckily was able to speak with an agent and he told me that the processing now is 27 months and I am just on my 13th month and he said that I am still lucky coz some were waiting for 3yrs now. He also told me that as of the moment my application is on background check which he meant the Prohibitions (last stretch) coz my background check on the tracker was completed since July 2021. Does anyone here have any idea how long does Prohibition check takes?

For me it takes just one month and I have so much information that helps me so much. Every case is different and the notes has gave me so much peace because I can see what is happening with my application ,which are my two offices ,the dates , what is completed , I can see everything. Even if it takes a month , the notes are everything for me. I wish you the best! And I'm crossing fingers for getting soon good news!

I have taken my Citizenship test few days ago. I got 18/20. On the CIC application tracker it still says "waiting on you" - Its still waiting for me to take the exam. How many days it takes to get updated? My Language, Physicial time, Test are all in process. Thank you.

I am studying for Citizenship test. There are a lots of years and names to remember. Do I really need to remember these to pass? Thank you.
Don't worry too much about it.
My wife was very concerned and she did lots of demo test online. Me, I just read the discover twice, and got 20/20.
You don't need to memorize those years except 1 or 2.
The purpose of the test is not to give you a hard time like in high school, but to ask you some general questions with basic understanding.
There are some important names to remember though.

It is written that the processing time starts the day they receive the complete application and ends when they make a decision. Does it mean it starts on the AOR date or the time they received our package?

Hello, my timeline application received March 25, 2021. Test and passport scan done on Oct 7, 2021 for myself and Oct 8, 2021 for my wife. For me Ecas got updates on Oct 27 with everything completed except "citizenship ceremony" however for wife only the citizenship test got updated and rest are still in progress.

In the meantime many things happened in the work life, and my younger kid got sick and am with the doctors for past one year thank god recovery is more than 50% but still not out of the woods.

It is already very stressful but now this "27 months" is a substantial addition to it.

I hope we complete this process at the earliest.

I already took the exam. There was no year related question, no famous name, no easy question like whats the national color, name of capital city. I found the test to be a little hard, tricky. I got 18/20.

But my cic citizenship tracker is not updated yet. It is still showing "waiting on you".

i can understand the tough time you are going through.

i think it will not take 27 months. 27 months is amount it took them in the recent past to finish 80% of the applications. i believe they are speeding up the process so it likely going to be around 18-20 months for 80% of the applications to be complete. Just my hunch.
