Hi Everyone,

I submitted my express entry application for CEC last night but i got a score of 410 which is so weird because on crs calculator i have 440. I have edited the application several times and made sure everything is accurate but still. what is so weird is that in the "Details about your profile section" valid job offer is not applicable even tho i sepcificed that i have one. any thoughts please?

What kind of work permit do you hold? How long have you been working for your employer in Canada?

What is your profile? You have a LMIA for job offer?

I have an open work permit, I worked for two separate employers. first one from march 22, 2021 to may 31, 2021 then second one from june 14, 2021 to present

Your current employer needs to get an approved LMIA for you to claim job offer points.

Your score is correct at 410. You need LMIA from your employer to count the extra points.

should i just request it from my employer? or what is the process

Your employer is the one who needs to obtain the LMIA. So yes, you would need to see if your employer is willing to go through the process.

It's a fairly involved process. They will need to start by advertising your job according to the LMIA advertising requirements and then complete all of the paperwork and submit the application.

but i asked some people who applied for CEC before and they are currently working and have a job. they said i need to say no on the "intended work in canada" section on the do you have a job offer in canada? i should say no because i already have a job. is that correct?

You don't have a job so you say NO. 410 is your score.
