An "application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker" was submitted on december 12 2022. My previous status in Canada was temporary worker ( valid work permit ).

Do you recommend or know a good lawyer in Vancouver area? Or anywhere at this point?
I'm still not clear if an actual restoration application was also submitted.

I have never worked with an immigration lawyer and don't feel comfortable recommending one for that reason.

Yes, a restoration application was also submitted within the 90 days limit.

I wanted also to thank you for the time spent in answering my questions and concerns!

I am not trying to understand if I would be eligible to apply for PR ( from outside of Canada of course ), but my ranking score is quite low. It's becoming so stressful to try and find a solution at this point. ‍♂

In terms of applying for PR, you're right. A lot depends on your Express Entry score. There's a lot of competition these days so ideally you have a score above 500.

You should also look into the PNP programs. Many of these require a job offer or for you to be already working in that province on a valid work permit.

Good luck.
