Hello guys!!!

I landed in Canada on Oct 1 with an only one entry visa. I will stay here for 6 months.
Is there any chance I can get a work permit with this kind of visa?
I am in a common law partnership and I really wish I can work so we have some extra money coming in home.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Orangie. ;)

No - a TRV does not allow you to apply for a work permit.

It looks like you've applied for PR using the outland / out of Canada process. Assuming that's correct, if you want to work before you become a PR, then you'll first need to find an employer who is willing to offer you a job. That employer will then need to obtain an approved LMO and as part of this process, prove that the job was advertised and no Canadian could be found for the role. If the LMO is approved, you can then apply for a work permit. If your work permit is approved, you can then begin working.

Because the LMO process requires a fee and takes several months to process, many employers are hesitant to go through the process.
