Hello!

I just got my work permit and I am in contract job for 6 month in IT Field. I am curious, is it counted as experience in Canadian Immigration or only full time is considered because these days in IT field a lot of jobs are now offered in contracts as well.

Depends. You can count part time work. As a contracter are your an employee and have taxes/CPP deducted etc. and will receive a T4. If not, it may be considered self employed which doesn’t count as for CEC.
