Will I be banned for 5 years?

I hold a ETA valid for 5 years to Canada. It is expiring in two months so I applied for a new one. One of the questions it asked for was if I was ever arrested? I had a minor traffic offence 2 decades ago which was dismissed but I thought I better state it to be truthful. I just remembered that I hadn't stated it in the last time I applied for ETA 5 years ago. Now I was wondering if I will be banned for 5 years for misrepresentation. Or since I have stated the offence now and had lied 5 years ago, will this bar be over? How does it work? I have already been to Canada a few times on that ETA,

You should be fine given it was a minor offence and the charges were dropped.

Since you were the one who started the thread, it won't be bolded for you.
