Hello everyone,

I have a couple of quick questions:

- While linking your account with the GCKey, did you have to submit your Declaration and Electronic Signature form under the "View my Application" tab?

- Does GCKey account update in real-time, or only once a day?

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

I am sharing my experience as far as I recall what I did couple of weeks ago. I am not expert, so I might be wrong.

I am not sure where you get "View my Application" tab from. As far as I recall I did not have to submit any Declaration and Electronic Signature form.

I believe it update in real-time.

Thank you for your response. I just got off the phone with CIC call centre. Little surprised to learn that CIC Ottawa processes files based on the country of origin. The agent explained that a file at Ottawa won't process any faster than the home country LVO. Does that make sense to you guys?

I don't think that the MyCIC account updates in real-time or daily....such as I have received PPR yesterday, e-case has been updated to decision made yesterday but MyCIC account still shows that Final Decision has not been made yet.

That is very interesting. All the time I was thinking that I am missing real time update by not linking my application to my account.
But still this doesn't make any sense.
Anyone else want to confirm this?

I still think MyCIC is updated almost real-time in most cases. At least, it's lot better than E-Cas.

Let me elaborate:

Doctor uploaded all my mom's reports on Sep 6.
MyCIC showed "medical passed" on Sep 8 whereas E-Cas showed "medical received" on Sep 12.

I received PPR on Sep 12 via MyCIC. E-Cas changed to "decision made" on Sep 14. In this case, MyCIC will wait for PR Visa stamping/issuing CoPR for final decision status (it's not same as "decision made" in E-Cas).

May be scorpion_ca misunderstands E-cas and My CIC Account.
It seems status is 2-3 days delayed on E-Cas.
Unfortunately I am not able to link my account yet.

No...

As mentioned previously that I already linked my account but I received PPR by email whereas some other members received PPR through their My CIC account. For us...e-cas was updated earlier than MyCIC.

We received our Medical Request on Aug 18th. However, since my parents have already completed their medical recently in May for Super Visa we sent a case specific inquiry asking whether the Super Visa medical will suffice along with the IME number. We have not received a response since.

Anybody here run into a similar situation? Did we do the right thing? Even though we wanted to get the medical done, the medical office in Karachi would constantly tell us that they cant do the medical since we gotten it done within this year.

Any ideas?

You didn't have to raise an inquiry for it. Instead you could just send the SV medical confirmation page. Many people have already used SV medical for PGP.

Thanks Rossei. We did send the SV medical confirmation page as well along with the other docs requested. However, what worries me is that we neither received the response to the case specific enquiry nor has the E-CAS status updated yet after almost 1.5 months. Still says the following:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 7, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on July 27, 2016.
3. We sent you correspondence on July 27, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

I think this is just another BS from call centre agents
